We are working on a list of feature to get in for the next few updaates, and I think this feature will make it in (the "copy design" feature), though you can save your designs under a different name, which kinda has the same effect (though you still can't upgrade form Core designs). Nice to see it finally available. I think it was first suggested in

Well, after having all my forum posts and requests for help since the last week simply ignored by Stardock while some other people get two or even three devs helping them ???? I don't understand the bit about 'last week' since GCII was fully available only yesterday.

what are your global spending setting and your research settings? And what is your empire reserch bonus? You should expect: 10 + 4*9 + 9*3 +24 = 10 + 36 + 27 + 24 = 97 research with 100% spending AND 100% research ( = no spending on military and social) and NO research bonus. But have you looked at the planetary screen, as it is possible that research bonus from precusor artifact are free and don't appear on summary settings.

I would like to be able to see the whole tech tree and not have to click next techs to see where the tree is going, I really like civ 4's version of the tech tree, but once I get the tech map that won't be big deal either. Have you tried some options on the research screen that allow you to diplay all techs? And you can move around the tech tree with

When I set my industrial production to 100%, it doesn't use 100% of capacity. Instead, it uses, for example, if I have all spending categories set to 1/3, 2/3 of my manufacturing capacity and 1/3 of my research capacity. This doesn't seem right at all, and I don't remember it being this way in GalCiv. Well, it was that way in GC1 since GC1 improveme

Why is there a cap that allows the three COMBINED percentages to only be 100%? Maybe because it was that way in GC1 where buildings give you percentage bonus. Now buildings produce points and not percentage so it may need to be rethought.

Ah I just checked: GalCiv2 on gigantic has 16x16 sectors, while GalCiv1 had 24x24, that means this game is less than HALF the size of its predecessor... what a pitty!!! I hope this will be changed! Well, count the number of squares per sector in GC1 and GC2 <br

The math to Burianek 's tech spending might be like this capital = 24 x 40% = 33.6 round down to 33 lab = 9 x 40% = 12.6 round down to 12 33+12 = 45, lab tile give 100% of 9 so total research = 45 + 9 = 54 So this means that tile bonus are free: you get benefit but aren't paying them <img src="http://images.stardock.com/g

What are "Life Support" extras for the ships for? Am I correct in the assumption that they extend the range a ship can travel from the nearest StarBase or planet? Yes. BTW, normally, when selecting a ship, there is an area border telling you where you ship can go.

having one big ship with a lot of defenses and very low attack and a lot of fighters with guns and no defenses or engines. Well, the fighters are the ones which are the most dangerousn but easily dispatched. So they will surely be targeted.

I hope you have all read the link posted by PJ. It explains what is a parsec for this game. Very important since the map is full of stars and planets are generally at 2 or 3 parsec sof their sun In short, for the game, a parsec is the distance than can be folded by a basic hyperdrive. But proximity of stars and planets reduce this distance
