About the new event where your influence gets ignored. WAY OVERPOWERED! Agree. I have got it and the influence map was horrible after. I did reload a previous savegame to get a cultrual win.
Peace Phoenix
Well, you are not wiping entirely the population if some people joined you when using the information warfare
it waasn't available in that beta version. Not sure to understand you: the components that swicth direction are available in the latest beta (beta 5).
yes, and we still make laptops AND pc's because they have different uses. Well, I didn't compare laptop and PC: I did compare today laptop and 10 years ago laptop. your arguement would make more sense if the older te
When starting a metaverse game after played a normal one, I got placeholder for all customized ships I have previously made in the normal game. And this is pretyy annoying to have lots of items without anythiung (no ship displayed, all characteristics set at 0)
I got the message stating than in 10 turns, I will winn a cultural victory. But the civilization manager still shows 0% for an influence win.
When a planet has completed a ship and you go to it from the GNN report, the screen for choosing rally point is set behind. This means that it won't appear if you click on the rally point button. But you will see it after closing the starport screen and the GNN report.
I got a nice UP event: a previously hostile planet is now open for colonization. I won the vote and got the planet. But there are strange things: - the planet was new Iconia V and was already colonized by the Iconian empire - no colony building, but the planet is still producing something, and I am able to build things normally
When I open the foreign advisor screen after loadin a game, the drengin is displayed. The annoying thing is that they have surrended many turns ago to the altarians.
When rightclicking on a tech in the diplomacy screen for "medium scale building", I get the indication of no future tech. But the research screen says otherwise: "superior hulls" is the following tech.
I was playing a custom race based on Thalan (I have changed only the color of the ship). I have contacted the Altarian that were at war with the Terran alliance. I have asked them to attack, without giving anything, the Terran alliance, which is itself very strange since they were already at war with them. And the Altarian told me: "My apologies, but we are unable to give you those item at the moment. Perhaps some other time".
Seconded: It would be really nice to be able to duplicate a design
Firstly the red dots... They get mighty crowded sometimes. Can something be done about that? Perhaps a size reduction. Well, that was done in the latest beta. And some can be very difficult to spot.
but it is always new tech that is bulkier and more expensive to make The first incarantion of the tech, yes. But look at the laptop now and how they were 10 years ago. You always need research to have a more compact design <TD class="mb-Body-Quot
I have found the following in the tech tree: Expert miniaturization -> new improvement : hyperion shrinker Supreme miniaturization -> new improvement : hyperion shrinker
the computer put my engines on backwards last beta version. Well, if it is backward, you can use an extra that switch direction
older tech is always smaller and cheaper. look at the ps1 and the remade mini. the mini ps1 still works the same, but runs smoother, is half the size, and costs half as much. THAT is how it works. Well, I don't see you point: "PS 1" is the equivalent of "laser 1" and "mini ps 1" is the equivalent of "laser 2". It may be an old conception, but done
More information = less micromanagement. I guess you are meaning: More information in a summary screen = less micromanagement
Because even your core ships will eventually become obselete in terms of weapons, engines, etc.; and it would be nice to upgrade them if you so desired. (Not that that's a deal-breaker for me, but I certainly wouldn't complain if it such a feature was included.) Well, you can always upgrade ships individually.
Peace Phoenix, it seems you have not dealt with a huge treasury. Correct. I see now your point.
does anyone get a HUGE list of ships - including all the AI ships sometimes when they start a game? Well generally, I have this when starting a new game from an existing game, or when doing CTRL+N after having played few turns
Well, looking at this thread https://www.galciv2.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=162&AID=95560, it is possible that hard points size may be tweaked in a future release
Not a bug, but a possible enhancement. when you click on a component when designing ship, the component is highlighted and a remove button appears near the slider that allows to resize the component before putting it. This slider is unusable in this mode. Could it be possible to have the slider working and allowing to resize a component that is already attached to the ship, with the same restriction than for removing it, ie not being able to do it if another component use one of
Well, I guess the problem is that you are playing with humans and their cargo hull. Try playing with the Thalan (or other races that are using the same kind of ship): you won't have any problem with symetry
bug or feature: Unless I have missed something, it seems that the custom ship design are read from the file system when starting a new game. This means especially that if you design ship in a game and need to reload a savegame, you won't be able to use the ship you have designed, even if you have all required technologies.
