I would like to have the ability not to click endlessly to find the breaking point where an alien race would accept my money (or influence) in favour of something else. Clicking repetitively is not fun ; and handing down 2000 where you can hand 300 is not fun either. ????? I don't understand what do you mean: I always use the BC slider with th

Seems there are a few tabs missing on the domestic policy screens since last beta. Aren't those tab already in the civilisation manager (hot key F6)? I find annoying needing using hot key to reach the Civilization manager. I guess lots of people won't seen it if they don't read the manual.
Secondly: Could we -please- get the ability to modify core ships? Why would you want to do a such thing? Personnaly, I would like to be able to duplicate ship design, since I want to have family of current design based on the same look.
if we built a new 386 today it would be far superior to the old 386. Sure, but if you need some research to build a new 386 today, then this means it isn't the same than the old 386. Using the old 386 means that you are using the blue prints and the techonology used at its time. If you are trying to use the new techs to build a 386, then you are doin
I got a CTD when doing the following: - launch Galciv 2 and resume a saved game -go to shipyard, start a new design, exit shipyard - reload the savegame - go to shipyard, start a new design and then a CTD appears. email (with debug.err and smartexception report) sent to gc2bugs.
the pyramid is now a research bonus Well sometimes, it is also an influence bonus
(currently, either you set your slider to social production and waste a lot with planets already filled up, or you buy the social improvement, which requires a quite healthy economy!). don't forget a thrid option: concentrate the colony on social production (using the arrow in the target). But I agree with your proposal: it would ma
Well, the buildings that benefit from approval bouns titles are the ones that raise the morale of your planet
There are some important factors that will severely multiply the cost of an upgrade. 1.) Are you adding a new type of weapon to the ship (ex. didn't have MassDrivers before, now has +5 MD Attack Points) 2.)Are you significantly raising the attack of a ship (ex. Before had 5 MassDriver Pts, now has 25) 3.)Are you adding the ability to Colonize, Transport, Trade, or
On the first turn, if you try to upgrade your colony ship to himself, you need to pay BC, even if no turn are required.
Which thread Peace? Oops! This one https://www.galciv2.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=164&AID=91760
- The social production doesn't take in account the race social production bonus (like the Thalan have) - If you have nothing in your social queue, you are still spending BC on social production (which is not the case with military production) - the bonus icons aren't consistent: you really need to click on the title to see what kind of bonus is given. For example, the 100% influence bonus and the 100% research bonus have now the same icon
The number of hardpoints hasn't changed That is strange. I have the habit of playing Thalan and designing lots of ships based on the cargo hull. And there are some hard points that I don't see. But after some testing where the hardpoints should be, I was able to use them, even if they were very hard to spot. So the problem is really havin
I am playing Thalan. And I have seen the number of red dots reducing on hull and extras in the latest betas. That was needed when red dots were big. But now, that they are small, the low number of red dots can be a little annoying. It would be nice if: - the number of red dots on hulls were the same than in beta 4 c - it is possible to have a way to change dynamically the size of red dots. That would be helpful when red dots are masked by other components set in the for
The problem is still here in beta 4e. But this time, I was lucky to see it better, thanks to a precursor mine (+700%). - I am playing Thalan (50% bonus in both military and social production) - It is the first turn, and I have bought a factory on a precursor mine (+700 bonus) - I have nothing in the military queue and the social queue. - I have set 100% spending split 50/50 between social and military The military production is displayed as: (75) And thi
The BETA download is not in evidence Have you checked th "show prerelease version" in SDC?
Not sure to have seen this reported: Minors constructor seems to have an ulimited range: In the game I was (8*8 galaxy), I have meet some minors through their constructors. And the funny thing is that when I clicked on the constructor, the minimap show the allowed are for the constructor. And it was clearly outside.
Well, I guess it is for avoiding problem with rally point set to create automatically fleet.
why can i not hear any sweet music Have you downloaded the multimedia pack?
In most cases, later versions of the same line have the same effectiveness, so the later version is the "Improved 386", it's the Plasma weapons that would represent the 486. That is my point.
Well, I think it was the same in GC I. I understand the rationnal since it allow late minor not to be behind in tech race. But making them super spies is very annoying. Maybe they should get all techs that is known by at least 2 (or 3) others races. But I hope the AI will be able to build wisely (maybe rushbyuing some factories) since the available buildings will surely require lots of week to be build
Have you trade route with them? Are their planets in you influence zone? Are you giving them tech? are they busy fighting each other? What is their alignement compared to yours? BTW, you should read this thread https://www.galciv2.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=164 if you haven't done it already.
point 2: have you checked your options? There is one that allow you to follow your ships that are on autopilot.
Well, I think you have missed a small point: laser 3 take less space than laser 1. So instead of having laser 1 taking less space, you have a new laser that is taking less space. I guess it is that way to avoid any strange effect in ships design. You can take an analogy with computers: it is not because we have pentium IV that 386 chips take less space It is the new generation of chips that take less space. The space used by old
How do you join the open beta-- i have purchased the pre-order of Beta and Final Release from Stardock but have been unable to load/start/find beta. Please help as I wish to join before beta closes. This would be a shame on my birthday of all days. Thanks Well, you need Stardock Central and a valid GCII serial id. And don't forget to check the box in
