I have a problem with the way ship design is handled: it is the fact that the rotating/zooming center can't move. This is very annoying when you are trying to target a specific red dot that is hidden by other components you have added. The fact that you can't duplicate a design is also tedious if you waon't to copy a complicated design you have made.
Peace Phoenix
BTW, have you seen that you can change the size of any components before placing it?
Well, If you look carefully to colony maitenance costs (25BC per colony at minimum), I am not sure that the domination is so obvious
I found it a bit annoying not to have a screen recapitulating all your current leases and when they end
Reload inconsistencies: - I have started a new game, bought a factory and put other buildings in the queue. I have saved the game. After reloading it, I am able to buy another social improvement. And I am still on 1 january 2225 - on a reload, the treasury amount isn't refreshed. It is still the amount that was displayed before reloading the game - The turn of the reload, the ships get a free turn, while no production (social, military of research) is processed. And the date doesn
Social production and military productio naren't handled in the same way: military production get the boost from building a factory on a lighthing title, and you don't waste money if you shipyard doesn't build any thing Social production doesn't get the boost from building a factory on a lighthing title and you waste money if have nothing in your queue
Shipyard bug: When loading a savegame (a normal game, not a metaverse game), the custom ships that are displayed are limited to the designs created before the time of the savegame. But I start a new game, I will have all tech compatible ships. And this is very strange since the custom design that doesn't show on the reaload was created with the starting techs (I have gone back into the past on this game).
I don't get my money back if I have nothing to build in the queue (ie I am waisting BC). The economy screen in the domestic policy show me the money I should spend on social. It correspond to the social production of my planets but one is building nothing. And when the turn is processed, the treasury change was in accordance with the economy screen. In short, it works like GCI.
I have surely missed something: I was under the impression that with GC II, you no longer waste money if you have nothing in the build queue. It doens't seem to be the case in beta 4c
Mini map zoom: have you seen the + and - button at the left of the minimap? Life support: it is used only for extending range. So in some case, you won't need them, like for colonizing planets in system where you have already one planet. As for the main map zoom, if you don't have a mouse wheel but have a way to do it in windows, you may want to configurate the setting in gcconfig to use hardware mouse.
The alliance system makes for constant war.You get peace with a civ, only for him to declare war the next turn because your at war with his allies. It seems a bit daft, i would like to see an enforced peace treaty that last 20+ turns.Peace should mean peace. Well, Galciv II works like Galciv I for that aspect of alliance. you need to be very careful a
The manufacturing bonus title doesn't work: building a factory on a lightning title has no visible effect
when I start a new game, available previously designed ships are sometines in the "core" category and sometimes without anything displayed (like when upgrading) For testing purposing I was playing as Thalan, have designed new colony ships at turn 1 and playing with metaverse and non metaverse games After more testings, I think I have found the
I have only found the civilization manager with hot key (6)
When playing with shipyard: - the 6 latest extras don't have an icon: it shows only black - upgrading custom design doesn't display the ship - no way to duplicate easily a design - when I start a new game, available previously designed ships are sometines in the "core" category and sometimes without anything displayed (like when upgrading) For testing purposing I was playing as Thalan, have designed new colony ships at turn 1 and playing with metaverse and non me
There seems to be a balance problem with starting systems: For Terran, Yor, Drengin, Drath and custom race, the starting system has a class 10 and class 4 planets For the Arceans, the starting system as a class 11 (corresponding to 10 + 10% PQ) and a class 5 For Altarian, it is a class 12 and a class 3 For Torians, it is a class 10 and a class 6 For Korx, it is a class 10 and a class 8 For Thalian it is a class 15 planet For Iconian, it is a class 15 and a clas
Well, I don't know but I love to play with them: they have lots of tech.
Beta Install issue: I was not given any choice as to where the beta download was installed. It is not acceptable for you to pick the place to put software on my computer. Please provide an install screen where people can decide where to put installs and updates. Thanks. Isn't this a setting of SDC central? Go to Tools -> settings -> Games
Could you explain what were those cheats you are referring to?
Well, I guess (but I haven't yet arched the corresponding tech) that transports are based on a cargo hull design. So a logistic value of 5 is perharps needed to ensure a correct balance. And don't forget that cargo hull allowsyou to put very different modules.
When you start a planet, you should be able to "zone" things. Financial sector, Industrial area, Residental area, farmland, etc. just like they do in real life. Well, we aren't in Simcity . And given the fact that Earth is in the game, a class 15 planet (ie 15 titles that can be improved) and tha
I have indicated here https://www.galciv2.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=274&AID=92223 that it would be nice to have a way to simply know what design you have already made to avoid overwriting design. BTW, it seems that having the ship name as an id can lead to: - bug - unable to load savegame from another computer. That can be annoying for SD bug hunting from beta tester save game - have a way to cheat between games if you go back to a previous savegame while the design is ov
I have build a factory on a title that is suposed to give 200% bonus to manufacturing. But when I look at the calculation, the bonus isn't applied
Why would you get at disadvantage with others races sicne every race starts with a class 15 and a class 4 planet?
Culture victories work waay too well... Well, only if you are at peace with all AI as you won't trigger the countdown if you are at war with someone (or at least, it should work that way).
