One annoying problem: some links (developer, what is TGN) on the top, as well as on the right (about, all games, articles, new release) don't work on tgnforums.stardock.com, but work on totalgaming.stardock.com
Peace Phoenix
Klaus1250 - You're getting a substantial discount by using TotalGaming.net You buy token at the price of 1 token for 7$, and you use them at the exchange rate of 10$ for 1 token. So you got a 30% discount.
Phoenix, I don't think that a SF game should be incoherent. I haven't said anything about coherency BTW, since the realism subject was opened, one mustn't forget that you get income from trade every turn, not not when the frei
Well, don't forget that in GC, stargates aren't faster than hyperdrive propulsed ships.
To add some realism Well, I personnally prefer that fun is added instead of realism, especially when dealing with SF games (what is realism when speaking about faster than light travel?)
it isn't linked with the number of posts you made. For rankings in GC1 forum (which are taken in the GC2 forum), it is linked with your involvement with GC 1. But you need to be spotted by the Stardock team. As example, when Dark Rain has released his utilies to make graphic for GC1, he was awarded Veteran status. Senator and Avatar ranking are generally awarded to the Stardock's Staff.
I have seen this too. but then, after closing the planetary screen, I have seen some windows speaking about unimplemented features
minor glitch: I have selected the universal translator tech to research. At that time, the ETAs given on the top of the screen and on the bottom of the screen is the same. After few turn with spending money into research, the ETAs are different between the top of the screen and the bottom. It seems that the bottom wasn't refreshed. I need to click on anothet tech and then click gain on the Universal Tranlator tech to have a match between the 2 ETAs.
The beta 2 research screen is better than the one in beta 1: - it is easier to see which tech you have already researched, which one you can reserach now and which are the ones where prerequisite are missing - the fact that the currently researched tech is on the top of thescreen is nice too. I have few small problems: - You can't see any information on techs whose prerequisites are missing. It is strange, especially when considering that GC
Recently purchased beta 1. Will I have access to beta 2 as well? Well, you can't purchase the beta: you purchase a Totalgaming.net account or preorder Galciv II. in both case, you will have access to all betas of Galciv II

unless something has changed, beta 2 is open: - to those who have pre-ordered - to those who have an active TGN subscription when the beta is available It was the case for beta 1 and I don't see why it would be different for beta 2.
I have a right to gripe when inaccurate information is posted to customers Well, looking a this thread https://www.galciv2.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=162&AID=64347, you see that the various milestones were indicated in beginning of February. And lots of things can happen that lead to pushing the various dates. I am pretty sur
can I download the beta as soon as I preorder it? You need first to received a serial id sent by Stardock. My guess is that as long as you have preordered before the start of beta 2, you will able to participate in the beta. You could also decide to subscribe (or upgrade if your allready own Galciv see https://www
A small thing that shouldn't be hard to fix (but who knows ... ) : a space is missing between the year of the post and the hour of the post
If you wouldn't buy it, why pirate it. Perharps because you need it but you can't buy it (having not enough money for all those softwares). Or perharps because you need to try it before deciding if it fits you need or not. BTW, I note that there is no details about the forms of piracy: Is it functionnal software with cracked key? Is it in
Well, I think thatt hey have removed this link since there were talk about having a second phase for TGN, based on tokens, after E3. Your subscription corresponds to a number of token that allows you to purchase games available on TGN. Once you have paid the token cost for the game, yopu are free to download at anytime the game. And people having an active TGN account when this phase will happen will be marked as having paid the price for alla availabl
Looks nice. And if I understand correctly what it is written, you can't be attacked by other players if you have 3 or less provinces. Nice system to prevent death
There is also a problem with the stardock game support preview since it shows only sticky threads.
a minor complaint about the forum here: there are no special icon to differentiate threads with new posts from those without, contrary to Galciv2 forums: all thread have the icons used in Galciv2 forum for threads with new posts.
Well, this article http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/society/614757p1.html gives some insights about what Stardock is planning
Is the next beta due out end of summer? I think that beta 2 should be available after E3, near the end of May.
Well, I don't think that tactical battles will be available in Galciv II.
On GC1 it was unusual for me to construct my last star base for less than 8,000 bc. Starbases have been tweaked in the latest version of GC1 to: - prevent every swuare to be filled with starbase - increase the costs of new starbases, based of the number of starbases you already own. I don't know what versi
but from my understanding you may have issues with your system, fuxd. It's not so much your CPU as your built-in video card. GalCiv 2 makes full use of DirectX 9.0c, which it sounds like your card may not handle (specifically I'm worried about it not dealing with the new TrueType fonts used in-game). I am exactly on the
