I've come to the conclusion that I don't really have a mask... I just 'hold back' on some things. Whether it be just how strongly I feel about a particular subject or the need for me to run around doing cartwheels and singing Trogdor songs at the top of my lungs. We seem to be fairly similar in the way we want to project ourselves and the way we see other people. One thing that bugs me though is when people assume things about you just by the way you d

Yeah.. I can see them (in the blog) fine now that I've loaded them manually and they've been saved to cache. I love the french language! It's so deliciously sexy! Maybe that's why I had a crush on my French teacher?
It's simply amazing who and what you can find on the internet! I had a LiveJournal account for ages but I don't like it over there anymore for a number of reasons. You should post all the photos you can as soon as possible. I got a few nice ones from the weekend. I'm yet to post them though. I have one or two of YOU at the Easter Monday Funday on my photo site if you wanna check them out (Plus a couple hundred more of stuff I like) <a h
Indeed. Your talents are being wasted. If you can remember all those shows off the top of your head, you must have a mind like a steel trap (or at least a ready blank cassette in the video recorder that is your mind at all times). I loved Bullpitt! "Someone should blow cats up!". Good News Week, Lano & Woodley Don't forget your toothbrush, Ferals, Mr Squiggle! Oh the memories! Never was much of a TV person but I loved these shows. But h
Hrmm... I think maybe that Teegs can see the photos because they are stored in her internet history/cache. I think that we can't see the photos because the site hosting them won't allow them to be linked and displayed in this way. If you paste the photo URLs into your browser, you can see them directly no trouble at all.
For sure! Both are very possible. Even probable. The conglomeration idea could be made into a book easily combining all the ideas/genres we have already thought of. Subject matter will be easy to come by. I mean, how often do you hear of people having problems with technology? To get the ball rolling though, a cartoon would be a great idea! And with you in the industry of journalism and publishing, finding a place to expose this nugget of an i
You mentioned the other day about an interest in writing coffee table books. While I think I'd be no good at it myself... here are a few ideas for you to use as you see fit. I was just thinking maybe a book on weird/crazy/totally dumbhead computer support stories would be funny. Perhaps something like "Computer Basics for 'the mentally retarded'(dummies)" c
Sounds like a good idea. Maybe you could make it into a comedic coffee table book for geeks with scripts of phone support convos and random side notes. Or something... I bought a couple of dummies books once and then ran a few classes for technophobes, taught them the basics and weeded out the crap from the books as we went along. Seems to have gone well. Had many thanks since then and only one person has rung back for further basic support. <
What larks! You should have grabbed both! School should be fun for everyone! I had a dumb thing happen the other day... I was asked to take back a coffee machine to Chandlers and swap it for a multi-function printer for my folks and did so. I get to the store and hand the stuff over, tell the guy what I wanted to do and grab the reciept out from inside the box. The bloke then informs me "I'm so sorry sir, I don't think I can help you today". I
This is pretty much how I work, but only since becoming a Christian. Beautifully written... I hope it pans out for me just like this one day. Peace Out!
*slaps self about the head* I can't believe I was just piecing together an outfit for you! How gay of me! But I like shopping! Too bad I missed the boat and you're probably already home from the party. All the same... I would have said black top and crepe pants with the gold. Too much black and you could look like a waitress but I'd doubt that with the gold. What can I say? I'm strange. Wee-ord even.
You're so insanely vague but just explained pretty much exactly what you were feeling at that point in time... Intriguing. I'm glad you're smiling though
An exercise in vowels.... Theophilus Thistler, the thistle sifter, in sifting a sieveful of unsifted thistles thrust three thousand thistles through the thick
He is here. In many of us. I try to show him in the things I do and say as often as I can. After all, that's what He's called us to do... to be Jesus to others in the 'marketplace'. My best experiences in seeing this in action is when I've needed a word from Him and he gives it to me in the most clear and relatable way through another person.. maybe even just a circumstance... but it's so clear that even dumb ol' me wouldn't miss it. Peace Out
You would not believe how freaked I was on Young Einstein when I was a wee lad. I have the tape and the movie, colouring books... heaps of gear! I think I just liked nerds from an early age... and stupid comedies. Adam Sandler is a big fave now. I really love the aussie sense of humor in things like The Castle and local hip-hop music. I even have a friend who acted in Paperback Hero! I think I'll have to use your list as a What To See over the
I got to that stage... I found I just needed lots of sleep and a little less worry in my life. I'm not quite back in full swing yet, but I'm getting there. I like to feel sharp and 'on-the-ball'. Respect for the celibacy by the way! Plus, It's always comforting to know there are other cheese freaks about. Did you know the stuff is chemically addictive?
I don't like 'Americans' at the best of time. So many give the rest a bad name. I must say that probably 98% of people that I know of on JU that are American I wouldn't descriminate against. To the point.. The things that make me angry about your country though is when corporations and individuals do such stupid things like taking God out of schools and from the Pledge, giving a gun to any nut who can sign his name and general ignorance o
That's an awesome piece It says so much for the things I have one day and the things I strive for on others. Do you know where I can get any more of this author's work?
I'm glad that you've deided to settle here on this fine planet of ours! Welcome! Try the Veal!
It's not as though I change my persona or anything but sometimes I just find I can be a little full-on and give away too much information if I type EXACTLY how I feel. If I edit what I type too much, it then sounds very generalised and boring.. sometimes ignorant. I don't really know... hrmm... There have been several occasions where I have thought about writing a totally anonymous blog where I could be SO brutally honest with everything and
I put this in a comment to someone else's blog just before... "I'm pretty guilty about second guessing what I should post about and how I should word what I say. Sometimes it's because I don't really want to offend people and other times I think some things I think about are totally uninteresting to others. This is weird to admit because I do blog for mysel
To make your own lists of links in the "Blog Navigator" margin, just follow this patented four step program! 1) In the margin underneath the "Score / Rank" bit, click on "My Account" 2) Click the "Manage Site Custom Links" check box and click on the "Edit" button. 3) Follow the on-screen guide to create your Section Headings 4) Add all the relevant and insane links you can think of! You can now look all web sav
I had a great day today. :-) I was trying to sleep for most of the daylight hours but constant encouraging SMS messages and electricians installing air conditioners kept waking me up. No matter. It was a great surprise this afternoon to find that my brother had invited a few friends over for a BBQ tonight. Not everyone that I wished could at
Totally... sweet article mate. Well researched and interesting. For me to appreciate where I am, I don't even have to think much about what others have done before me (although I appreciate it). I just have to think about what I have been through in the last 7 years and realise that I am so much better of that I'd be stupid to be whinging about whatever trivial predicament I was in. Sure, shit happens, but in comparison to 'stuff'... it aint n
Right on brother!
