It has to have a process - try crashing by closing at random the process you do not recognize first and make note so when you crash you can go on to the next set of process's that you did once already till you find which one is the culprit. It is the full responsibilty of any Obect Desktop user to archive their programs and for sure the skins or themes. I keep a seperate library of skins and themes on a seperate external hard drive with both regular and Acronis Home full backup of my partitions. With any beta program you run the risk of loosing data or lets say in this case skins. As Neil stated the ones that where removed. Besure the auto archive check box is selected if there is a problem you can fall back to the earlier release's that way. If not - oh well... good luck it is a beta release remember that - always make sure you have good backups and all your system is ready for a beta install. SGT

Can you check your system logs for when you first applied the files where they worked and see what was the change when you restarted the computer. I bet there is conflict and Vista has used virtual protection to resolve the conflict. Thus making your changes not work or being lost from the system itself. Thus it falls back to what it was before you applied any changes and will not use them due to they are not part of the virtual system anymore ... if they even where to begin with also! That

For the setup to change the way you logon and off go to control panel/user accounts/change the way users logon and off/ check the box to use welcome screen and restart the computer again. Thus after login enable logon studio and apply a logon and see if it holds up?!!... SGT

What was the last logon you applied with logon studio? Find out and remove the logon from C:/program files/wincustomize/logonstudio/... remove the folder from there and restart the computer and login. Restart logon studio and apply one of the logons that came with the original program and see if it holds up.
