It has to have a process - try crashing by closing at random the process you do not recognize first and make note so when you crash you can go on to the next set of process's that you did once already till you find which one is the culprit. Once you find it - look for the file and where it comes from. That may give you some insight - bad thing tho is that it may have written to a dll in system file and has been associated to the system. Which being shared assoc. - removing it may cause other pro

It is the full responsibilty of any Obect Desktop user to archive their programs and for sure the skins or themes. I keep a seperate library of skins and themes on a seperate external hard drive with both regular and Acronis Home full backup of my partitions. With any beta program you run the risk of loosing data or lets say in this case skins. As Neil stated the ones that where removed. Where those uninstalled with WB 5.5 and WB 6 did not include these skins. If you have a archive of your e

Besure the auto archive check box is selected if there is a problem you can fall back to the earlier release's that way. If not - oh well... good luck it is a beta release remember that - always make sure you have good backups and all your system is ready for a beta install. SGT

ah I see it now - you wil have to remove the uis 4 and anything related to it for the vista to skin that area properly. There are several approachs to this contact me and I'll try to show you what you are up against! WWW Link SGT

Can you check your system logs for when you first applied the files where they worked and see what was the change when you restarted the computer. I bet there is conflict and Vista has used virtual protection to resolve the conflict. Thus making your changes not work or being lost from the system itself. Thus it falls back to what it was before you applied any changes and will not use them due to they are not part of the virtual system anymore ... if they even where to begin with also! That

Sounds like a bunch of stuff to me... you people are lost in space and have no idea or what you are even talking about. Fact of the matter though is that you use and support the use of pirated software. Such a matter should warrant being banned or exiled from this forum and /or website! This is not excepted here!!! SGT Maybe the info from this website will be forwarded to Microsoft for fur

The people here at work are really getting a kick out of this guy here in this thread! We just love looking for these things. But I'm not so interested in so called what net is what. But what is the true reason this kind of stuff is allowed on such a good forum site. Thus I believe as others here do that there has to be some better set of rules being used here soon! SGT oh and it's ni

One problem! I hate Mac to begin with ... Plus my time is very tight with things I have to do here and at work. But I would suggest that you upgrade to the newest WB release and install Skin Studio to do your own work. But using Skin studio with Vista is not for any beginner at all. Just getting the program to work or run correctly with Vista will take some tweaks. If you will give me a link to a skin you want to work with Vista. I'll take a look at it and see if it will work. That and w

For the setup to change the way you logon and off go to control panel/user accounts/change the way users logon and off/ check the box to use welcome screen and restart the computer again. Thus after login enable logon studio and apply a logon and see if it holds up?!!... SGT

What was the last logon you applied with logon studio? Find out and remove the logon from C:/program files/wincustomize/logonstudio/... remove the folder from there and restart the computer and login. Restart logon studio and apply one of the logons that came with the original program and see if it holds up. If not we have another problem with possible setup for users and how they are logged on - maybe? SGT <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Cool.gif" border=0 align="abs

It's possible, but it have to be someone from this forum. Doesn't matter. I do not think so and have checked to find where and who. You may have another problem yet to show itself. And as you said to Boss A little tip for future: before you accuse someone in public, try to dissolve your problem privately without unnecessary confusion. It will be simple and civil. Might be a good idea to practice what

I believe these forums should be closed to only members to use and make the others who are not members go to support for their so called complaints. All I see here in the last few months now is people complaining about stuff. The which is usually due to ripped softwares and or a bad install. To not say the least - members are tired of trying to figure if this is the case or what is going on. There has to be more control brought into effect for these sort of things. Personally I know of atlea

Zagorskid - if you want you can file a complaint with [email protected] and see what happens. That email is posted from a server maintained in the central region of Texas here. It would seem the poster may have used a proxyserver to do so though. But it would be good to see what if any they find for that mail. That and it would be good also that any tuts for working with logons be wriiten in some better fashion also. The information at hand you have provided is very short and s

The people of Texas here got a much better way of doing it! Just take the computer out back and use the ole trusty 12 gauge shotgun to put the it out of it's misery. Then you just pitch what is left into the local dumpster for trash. It is truly sad though to see we are always finding ways to get rid of the things we use the most and spend a lot of money for also. Seems I rarely shoot any of my computers here and as much as I would like too! I've never tried it - yet!!! So I do
