ijhammo The cursor is displayed behind the title bar of windows when moving over them. On top of that, the menus from ObjectBar (MacPC Update skin) are also displayed behind the title bar. See attached pictures. This happens due to a bad load of the graphics drivers and that of cursorxp. If you have some way to clear the icon cache and do a logoff and log back in - it should solve it. Sounds like maybe the drive has a lot of bad sectors on it and you will need to use a boot cd or disk[floppy] to get to where you can run check disk. When and if you get that far besure to have it correct any errors found on the hard drive. This will mark the bad sectors for now and then when you try to reinstall they will be skipped over. You can use the cd for the xp home you have and locate the I386 files to which you should be able to run chkdsk.exe from there in dos prompt. If the h

1. If you do not have your backups archived of the programs you use - then you will not be able to reinstall what you have now. 2. If you plan to have the latest and greatest desktop then you will need to up again. 3. As little as it cost I consider it a utility for having a good looking system.
