..The most scientific among them would probably come up with a theory about how larger objects attract the smaller objects. Objects with a larger mass attract objects with smaller masses ... Actually, it works both ways. Both objects attract each other. ANY mass will exert an acceleration on ANY other mass. That force is F = G·m1·m2/r², where

One thing I've noticed is that after I calibrated my monitor (geometry) just right for 1024x768, my boot screens (even XP default) exhibit some offset in both height and width. But that offset's nothing like what Aqua just described. The point is, I thought something was wrong. Then I realized that it was simply my monitor not being spot on for 640x480. Not much to be done about it as then my 1024x768 (normal operating mode) would probably have some offset if I optimized the

That's good Paxx, thanks for digging that up. Although I was tongue-in-cheek earlier, I had quite forgotten the technique of using another attribute, color being one of the most convenient, to represent an extra dimension. I should have known better, being and engineer and always having to cram mult-dimensional data onto 2 & 3-D charts. <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.

Yup, your jest a leettle ahead of me there wolfie ! (if I may call you that without offense ) I would certainly encourage any attempts, regardless. P.S. What I mean above is that I was composing my tongue-in-cheek tirade as citizen werewolf was making his suggestion. My longer post was NOT a response to his. [Message Edited]

Well, there's no way to represent a 3 dimensional object in one dimension, other than as a line which would imply 0 extent for one dimension of the three making it therefore only a two dimensional object represented in one dimension. So, how in thunderation is one going to represent a FOUR dimensional object in the only TWO dimensional medium these artists work in ???? Coooome ooon, gim

Assuming you didn't burn these folders to a CD where they would be (more) likely to be marked as RO by default, I'd be extremely surprised if Bootskin is changing the attributes, much less the security settings, on these folders. Your subject header is somewhat alarmist. I feel like I've been baited and switched ! I'm willing to bet you a dollar against a dime that there is NOTHING "wr

Acknowledged on waiting for Bootskin 1.03. But i just wanted to comment that this happens to me occasionally. However, I think it's a particular bootskin or logon file among the many I have installed. I have both bootskin and logonstudio set for random rotation, so I can't point a finger unless I do some tedious testing. Just food for thought in case your problem exists post Bootskin 1.03 <

Your first clue would have been the fact that, from the shape of it's head, it's NOT a pit viper (i.e., Rattler, Copperhead, or Cottonmouth). Secondly, the coloring is a dead giveaway it's not a coral snake. On that basis, you could have concluded it was not a (U.S.) NATIVE venomous snake. But, with the things people turn loose nowadays, ya never know ! <A HREF="https://www.w

"Griefers". Interesting coinage. I never heard that term before. However, I know exactly the type you mean: "... trying to absorb the happiness of others through delivering grief like some sort of parasite trying to cure their own miserable lives." I've encountered several of those in my life, and not (only) on the internet. My boss before last was what I came to call and "emotional vampire". The guy was, unfortunately, quite respected by the "right" people in the company b

Well, since XPDragon probably won't surface again in this thread, I'll extend the speculation (with no intention of making a value judgement) to say that I suspect XPDragon learned typing in a chat client where getting a word in edgewise with "UR frens" puts evolutionary pressure on your syntax. Yeah, I know, a real useful contribution to the thread ! <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.

I heard 1st mention of Window Blinds years ago, it may have been early 90's or so. Never had much interest in this until I stumbled back onto it a month or 2 ago. I 1st did a free trial of StyleXP and after my XP machine crashing about 2 dozen times, I s**t canned it and proceeded directly to purchase of WindowBlinds and then ( ) full Object Desktop upgrade ( <img src="http://images.stardock.com
