What kind of military help did you have in mind?

"There was definitely a large enough sampling (1017 respondants) for it to be statistically valid." Valid for what? Online polls are basically only good for entertainment purposes. The networks gets tens of thousands (if not more) online poll respondents, and even they don't claim for it to be for anything other than entertainment value. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIG
Woohoo! Thanks, GR. I was going through withdrawl symptoms.
Thanks for the feedback. At least now I know it's not a local problem. Their server probably crashed or something.
I haven't been able to connect to news.stardock.com since last night. Just tried connecting to irc.stardock.com and no luck there, either. No problem with www.stardock.com, though. Anyone else having the same problem, or is it a problem with my ISP?
Can't wait to try this out. This was one time promised for WindowBlinds, but unfortunately never made it to fruition. Thanks for the tip.
That is a very cool looking suite!
You can do that with DesktopX.
How many of you who "paid $20 to help support the site" have made donations other than that $20? If you're only interested in supporting the site, why stop there?
c242 -- If the only way to get it is to pay out the money, it's not a bonus. It's part of the package. Just like you're paying for those "free" Ginsu knives that come with your juicer.
sig101 -- I personally don't think it's a big deal either way. However, the difference is the walls in the library are derivative works, while the specific wall being discussed here in this thread is an exact copy.
I agree with most of what you said, Paul, but when you pay for something, I think it gives you the right to criticize it, when the product is not as good as you expect. Maybe you expect too much, but there is that saying that the customer is always right. I try to keep my criticism in my back pocket around here, because I know even the worst skins are probably better than what I can do, and I see no point in hurting someone's feelings when they're giving an honest effort. But
Control Panel > Display > Appearance > Advanced Make sure "Always use the XP taskbar defined in..." is not selected.
The definition of a troll is someone who posts for the sole reason of inflaming people to solicit as many responses as possible. I'm not sure I've seen that here. I think people are giving honest opinions. Their tact may not be what it should be, but I don't think they're trolling. Some people think a troll is anyone who gives a dissenting opinion. That is not the case at all. Even if you only post once and go away, that doesn't make you a troll. <A HREF="https://
Help still doesn't work, but at least it shows the correct version number now.
Looks interesting. When you add a folder to the wallpaper changer, does it automatically monitor that folder for any changes? Also, is it recursive, so that it gets all sub-folders, too?
Who are you, Nakor?
You jump through all these hoops to get it working, and then you say great job on the update. Now there's a customer every company should have.
I couldn't agree more.
grayhaze - Yeah, I too thought that was weird that it monitors specific IP addresses instead of network connections. Fortunately, I have an almost static IP address. werewolf - Thanks, I haven't tried installing any new themes yet, but that's a good one to keep in mind. I like the idea that authors are allowing to monitor a different number of drives. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif"
c242 - Odd that I never had that redraw problem before. brazil - I fixed the preview problem by refreshing the library database, quitting, and then restarting SkinBrowser. HTH.
To skin, right-click on the window and choose Configure or whatever it says. Then you just double-click on a theme from the theme browser.
I'm having redraw problems here. Every time I minimize with a news or discussion page open, when I restore, it briefly shows the proper page and then it all turns white. I have to roll-up/down or do something else to force a redraw.
I just barely downloaded and installed it. Very impressive application! Lots of options, and easy to modify existing themes. Nicely done.
It shows 0.99c here in the About. Is that correct? Also, I see Help is still not enabled, odd for a release candidate.
