Double post... This forum sucks pretty bad with Chrome, do you know it?

I must say I never experienced in my life to play a beta so messed up. Ok, i can understand there are works in progress, but Jesus Christ, I was just wandering what I have to test if *nothing* works as intended.
This is rushed, but yeah: Gears of War 1,2 & 3= console
First one is on PC too. Both pretty overrated games, by the way. Third one still have to appear, so we don't count it, ok?
Mass Effect 1, 2 = vastly better on console
Quite the opposite. Vastly better on PC, in graphics, controls and in user interface.
Call of Duty= console
Not really. Ever
And it has to be flash for IE.
That's annoying.
I'm the only one who can't make it work? I've just a black tab on Impulse.
I have the gold version, but want to start with the original to get to learn the new game concepts before I introduce more elements with the expansions. Any suggestions for interesting mods? What about the galciv2 type of mod in one of the expansions?
Fall from Heaven II
Sounds interesting - the reviews mostly have it as mediocre-average (largely on it's graphics/presentation), but you read all the user reviews and they rate it as very good. Since I've grown increasingly distrustful of 'official' reviews I decided to go ahead and get it (although I probably won't start playing it for a few weeks - still playing around with dragon age origins).
For 5 bucks it will be the best deal of your life.
Well, title says it all. There's any chance Impulse will add options to change mail, merge accounts and/or give options to login with two accounts at the same time on a single PC and client? Why I ask for it? For instance, both me and my flatmate have our own Impulse account, often sharing the same PC, and sometime is pretty annoying to logoff and relog everytime we switch, just to check for updates and so on.
Fallout 3 sucks badly. gameplay 10/10? That's a joke. I can think about half dozen FPS-RPGs and none of them is worse than FO3 in gameplay.
They might still use both. Dawn of War 2 uses both Steam and GfWL, Steam basically for DRM and GfWL for multiplayer.
Which is simply the WORST thing to do. So you can pick the bad from both sides. Honestly I'm sorry for other competitors, but I think Steamworks is so far the better way to integrate a Multiplayer interface on a PC game (Even more when using Steamcloud: remotely saved settings, keybindings, and so on) and incomparably better than GFWL, which in fa
Well, it's not a flawless game anyway. The story has some major plot hole, secondary quests and planet exploration are boring as hell and the game is very linear, with very little freedom for the player. All moral choices are fake forks, where acting nice or bad doesn't actually change nothing. Don't get me wrong: I like the game, battles are very enjoyable and I an't wait for the sequel... But the open post is far too generous dealing with it.
Less than 4 € on Steam now. Sorry Impulse, looks like you're always late.
I was hoping for ME on Impulse in those holiday days, but now I'm wondering if we are going to see it at all.
While I agree with this statement, the success of the DLC on consoles is now hurting PC Gaming. Look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: Custom Maps/Mods/Anything was removed from the game. I can promise you some of the thinking behind this was to charge PC users for Map packs and additional content
Which, in fact, is very stupid, cause this detracts value from the game, for a PC audience.
I think a large number of PC gamers want the ability to create and download custom content, which you can't really do on consoles. PCs also shine in the area of online multiplayer.
Amen.
X-COM UFO DEFENCE (aka UFO Enemy Unknown) is in my absolute top five. What I wish to see on Impulse in the future (beside more games at lower prices :D) is some feature to put settings and savegames online, pretty much like Valve's Steamcloud.
Well, title says all. I hope Stardock will work for its implementation.
There isn't any single good reason to keep buying a 32 bit OS today.
I have Space Rangers 2 on impulse. Played it for a while. OK, but not great. Mount & Blade. Not my cup of tea I think
God, no. They actually *are* great. If you don't like them problem is yours. It's all your fault. Shame upon thee! :|
Space Rangers 2. Wonderful cocktail of RPG, adventure, RTS and much more. One of the best games in last years. Anyone I pushed to try it still thanking to me after months. Look at the user score. http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/spacerangers2dominators?q=space%20rangers%202 Mount & Blade. Great simulation of a mercenary's life and simp
I used to be one of those people that collected all the shiny boxes and was proud of my monument to slacking. One day though I looked over at the six, three foot high stacks of game boxes taking up a good portion of space in my computer room and thought "What the hell am I keeping all this crap for?". Hard drive space is cheap and a lot more practical when moving. I have collected a few shelves worth since dumping those, but I have done pretty well in weening myself of all the
I was wondering... is Impulse version of the game going to be MULTI5 (with subs in other languages) or just english?
Honestly I think GFWL sucks very badly. Poor features, worst UI ever seen and last but not least is another way to rise in strenght Microsoft attempt to monopolize PC gaming and bind it definitely to Windows... Which, yeah, doesnt' change so much now with Windows already dominating, but it can be very bad in the future.
Well, that's bad, cause in doubt I'm going to buy it elsewhere.
