Thanks for the feedback...let us know if you you do end up having any bugs or crashes pop up. We should have a 1.2beta update out by tomorrow that fixed some oddities.

In v1.2 players will get a modified version of the UI that should tweak the position to your liking
Go into your my documents/games/galciv2 and find a .raceconfig for the terrans. Delet that to get back to the default settings.
BTW we're fixing the "multi-ship" upgrade cost problem for v1.2 Sorry about that guys...I guess you can see we don't upgrade our ships much
The internet was down at the office yesterday, so we were stuck only working on the items that we had gathered from the day before, but yeah, the ship upgrade bug is on our list. Thanks for eveyone's feedback...we'll (hopefully) have another build for eveyone tomorrow
Thanks for the feedback, guys. We'll keep chipping away and will probably have another version before the end of the week. simiesque: the planet details number actually shows the raw number before bonuses (and focus) are factored in, so the colony management number is actually the correct one
I'll go through these and help out the best I can Bug 1. "Only 1 out 5 Trade Routes working": Can't reproduce this if anyone has a saved game where this is happening, please send it to [email protected]. Bug 2. "Fleets that travel to a Starbase(?) get most of their movement back, single ships do
Make sure the "Auto-Focus on Ships" option is turned ON...right now it sounds like it's turned off in your games.
hywminstrel: Hehe Don't worry, Frogboy wasn't talking to you, just the haters that can take something that we love to do (making updates with significant UI tweaks and feature additions) and make us question if it's worth spending our time on Luckilly enough people seem pleased, so we know we're on the right track. As for your bug, which you're more than welcome to complain about <img sr
hywminstrel: Hmm...We really didnt change anything with the background of the main map (if that's what you're talking about). Check your settings and make sure the num of nebula are at a reasonable level (if it's at max, it's probably unplayable like you say). As for anyone complaining about bugs that weren't fixed, or features that were left out (yes, we didn't include Multiplayer in a free update, go figure), realize that there is a finite amount of time to spend and, while we try t
Bry: Hehe Understood Around the office we're feeling a bit swamped by little things like this being conveyed as big bugs ("This makes the game UNPLAYABLE !!!!" is something we see too often), so I just assumed you were being serious This is actually on the long list of little things to tweak, but there
elconquest: On 4, are you talking about Transports (for moving around troops and invading) or Freighters (for establishing trade routes)?
Use the green borders around tiles to determine what cant be built upon. The names and pictures are really just for looks, and tend to get a bit confused when a planet gets invaded or a player has a Planetary Quality bonus. And I certainly don't think it make the game unplayable Please save that sort of description for memory bugs that crash your computer <IMG src="http://images.stardock.com/gc
You know I love ya Just gotta keep it cool in front of the fellas.
Looks like a loser...If you ever drop the dork be sure to give me a call
We've made some changes to how the planets are displayed that should help reduce this slowdown in version 1.2
If your having issues with the tutorial video, make sure to update to 1.0x, which has a "fullscreen" button that will fix this issue. Also, make sure youre playing fullscreen...I've seen weird slowdown in windowed mode from time to time.
I'm taking that "spelling and grammar" comment straight to the hoops, Wardell
What we could do is put in an option "Disable Turn Button in Sub-Screens" so the button will only be clickable on the main game window. Would this fix everyones issues?
All noted, but FYI... 1. This will be fixed in 1.2 5. I suggest using the mini map, but feel free to use SHIFT + Arrow Keys to pan the map. Also, zoom out to tactical beforehand to cut the trip in half
dg: We've improved the selection code so that a ship will stay selected even if you click on a planet. So technicially, all you need to do (in your example) is select the colony ship, click on the planet from the list (which will move the camera there) and right click on the planet. THe game will now remember the last ship(s) selected and send them where you want
Added to my watch list. I'll ask around on Monday to see what those 2 events are and try to dig up some other answers for you
When playing with the internal test build (with cari's changes), i beleive it will keep the ship selected until you go and physically click on the next ship you want to move. I'm not sure about a beta version, though with the Mods stuff it'll probably be necessary, but we'll see how you guys like the current implementation of "No Auto-Focus" and see if it's what you're looking for (but FYI, it fixed all my problems with the feature).
Hello Helo! Welcome to the forums! Don't worry about age around here, it's all relative - though I often get teased around the office for being 26, surrounded by ancient 30-somethings Yeah, I've noticed a rampent use of the term "fanboy" across these forums. To simplify things, I'll show the two mos
1.2 will have an "Upgrade" button added to the fleet manager and ship details, so you'll be able to upgrade without the aformentoned work around
