Turn Button: If you have a saved game where that turn-button bug is reproducable, can you send it to [email protected]? 1. I agree. 2. Hmm...we'll look into that. Shouldn't be that hard to implement (once the other bugs get stomped). Upgrading: When you upgrade a ship design, you're not technicially upgrading any ship in your fleet....jsut the design. To upgrade ships to use a new engine, you need to upgrade the design (remove all old engines, install the new ones)

Are you pressing the "Update" button in stardock central, or somewhere on this website? If you have Stardock Central installed, that would probably be the easiest way to update. Just click on Games>GalCIv2 and press the "update" button on the right.

Also, check your setting for Interface>Tactical Zoom Level. Make sure that it's set to the 50-ish range. If it's close to 0, the tactical zoom will always be on, where if it's around 100, all ships will ship up in polygon mode all the time (killing framerate). It sounds like the value is close to 0 for you.

The version you're running dosent have a Framerate limit, so it may be workon so hard that it's heating up your card and freezing the game. We're working on a fix for this bug that will be out on Thursday, but for the time being you can try the EXE linked to here: https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=164&AID=103280#805562. Let us know if this fixes your problem!

What's weird about your guys' situation is that 1. it's crashing on the research screen and 2. it SHOULD be crashing in the main game but 3. it's not. Hopefully the new crash logs will shed some more light on this issue...otherwise we can try and get a system setup with your specs and try and reproduce the bug, or give you some special EXEs to try and fix the problem otherwise. And thank YOU for being so patitent with the problem. As a gamer myslef I can understand the frustrations <i

Your Starbase assist module effects WILL stack. So it you have 3 starbases effecting a planet, each with a +50% to manufacturing, that planet will get a 150% boost to manufacturing. Same holds true for military assitiance modules.

Instead of this, I would suggest having 4 planets each sending ships out to different rally points. I will often have pairs of planets, each supplying constructors to a starbase rallypoint, then various other planets supplying attack ships for defensive purposes. Also, use the "Ship Destination" minimap toggle to show lines on the minimap showing where all your ships are headed. This may also help you get an idea where everything is going. Hope these suggestions help! <img src

Hehe Sorry for that comment, Sunjah...it was more out of frustration then anything I'm glad we made it for the PC...it just a bit overwhelming when you have thousands of different configurations that the game needs to run on. I played the game for a month on my box without crashes, but players get the gold version and have crashes out of the box <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smi

It's amazing how bugs can crop up no matter how many computer the game gets tested on. We had 30+ computers in the office running the game without problems, but a team of over 100 gamma testers and we're still getting new bugs in Makes me wish we were making a console game...at least then we'd have 1 set of specs to test against. Please, if you run into errors (that havn't already been listed

https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=164&AID=101421 Nothing specificially about a Radeon 7000, but when i get into the office tomorrow I'll see if we've tested on one. In the meentime, has anyone else had success with an R7000 with a similar setup?

I can't try to argue too much, since I work for stardock and it seems tastless to do so, but perhaps try bringing the number of other alien races down, and turning up the number of habitable planets. I found that, if you play with more than 8 races the exploration part ends pretty fast as you realize all the good worlds have already been sucked up by the AI. One thing I can attest to is that the AI does NOT know where the colonizable planets are. They know where the plane
