Many of the campaign missions have limited tech-trees, as not to overwhelm the first time player, so technicially you can't But in the snadbox mode you can research the tech tree without restrictions!

https://www.stardock.com/support.asp Before all hope is lost, can you go to this page and enter the email address that you used when purchasing the game? And, if that dosen't work, try downloading Stardock Centeral (https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/), enter your user info and see if it recognises you. Hopefully, if the order was made, all of this happened underneith the covers and should work with or without that order confirmation. Let us know if th

We're happy that everyone seems to enjoy the game, as long everyone know that our tears, sweat, and blood went into shipping all those orders (I got 6 paper-cuts between friday and saturday, so my appologies if the blood part is literal)

I think Jen may be talking about the new Planet Screen, perhaps? Having a planet that only holds 10 improvements is VASTLY scaled down in comparison to GC1's "unlimited" planet space. However, this change was made to increase the strategy of properly building improvements. In GC1, I wouldn't TOUCH the planetary improvements. I'd have my governor that would build "Soil Enhancement", "Bank", "Factory" and then whatever else was in his queue. No strategy at all. Now the player is

Thanks man! Hopefully the same credit card problem dosent happen here I know how that sort of thing stinks. Just let us know if you run into any issues with the game...everyone here is wearing their 'tech-support' hats this week, so you'll be seeing us around

1. This is true. I'll let Brad know that the minors are "spinning their wheels" in this respect. 2. This is as intended. If a race is building a ship, you will continue to build that design until you tell the workers to switch projects. 3. Is this the issue where the list is resetting itself every time you doubleclick a building, so sometimes it'll stay in the same place, and other times you have to scroll to get to it? Cause yes, this can be annoying <img src="http://images.s

We will be addressing this in a future patch. The panning of the camera has also been asked about (you can't technicially scroll the main map with just the keyboard), so both features will have to make it in without stepping on each-others toes. We'll let you know as we start implementing it.

Build up several transports before taking them over. That way, the first few can use Core Detination (or something that will boost your advantage factor), then with the last one use Traditional Warfare, so you don't get hit with the penalties of using a lethal Invasion Tactic. Paticence is the key to successful invasions.

Bleh...just blowing up a planet is soooooo 1977 We could always give you the choice...blowing up a planet only takes 2 turns to charge up, but a system takes 5 turns to charge (or, whatever balances best). Brad is the one that wants the system-wide blast, so you'll have to take it up with him (Frogboy on the forums). The AI targeting the threat isn't so bad, but defending the hell out of t

No Steevo, your concerns are definatly valid. Unfortunatly, when developing a PC game, you're putting it out there where all machines are a little bit different (various video cards, motherboards, OS's, memory configs, ect), and where one guy can play the game without bugs (like this reviewer, apparently) while the forum fills up with players with various configs that get lots of little bugs that flew under our radar (we had the game testing on over 30 machines in the office, plus the pl

Around the office we've found boxes at Best Buy, and I've heard of people getting their copies at EB Games. IIRC, all shipping is done from an Ohio warehouse, so I imagine people on the East and West coasts will get the game a bit later then us in the middle. Hopefully those shipments arive in stores by you today!
