I assume you're talking about Windowblinds skins. They are downloaded as .wba files. If you're getting the auto-download it unzips it and makes a folder with the skin files inside. There would be no .wba file in the skin folder but there should be .bmp's, one .uis and possibly a few other config files. To install them manualy, right-click the download link and select "save target as", download the .wba file to your desktop, open Display Propoerties/Appearance and click on "add". In the

I lost a day and a half of productive time last weekend because of defrag anxiety. I was working on a project on my notebook (44Gig drive) and something was making it run verrry slow, so I checked it with SpeedDisk. It said the drive was 37% fragmented so I ran SD to defrag it. I think using Frogboy's tutorial is an excellent place to start. Building a skin in Notepad is the best way to learn how it works so the format makes sense to you. I feel that way about using SkinStudio to make the image files too, it would be better to make them all in your graphics program than to have SS generate them. I find it easier to draw the skin image complete and then cut out the pieces in PS so I have all the bits ready to assemble. Then I make a UIS file in Notepad (using
Look in the folder for LogonStudio, you'll see a sub-directory for themes. Look in there and you'll see what LS wants to have for a theme. Make sure the ones you download have the same format. What is "the rest of them"? Did Pixtudio say they were going to make more icons or are you referring to the 3 that are shown in the screenshot that didn't make it in the release?
It's another one of those severely under-documented features. As I understand it, the graphics chip must support the feature. Not all graphics chips do. My notebook with a GeForce2Go supports it but I have no idea if it's helping or how to set the slider for window resolution threshold. I've disabled it, set the threshold higher, lower and never noticed any difference.

A .WBA file is a Windowblinds skin. Open the Display Properties dialog, click on "add" and point it to the WBA file. You will have a skin You can also just double-click the WBA file and it will install itself. But you will still have to go to the Display Properties to load it.
