The issue is real simple on most sites. If you post a comment or start a thread where you say you hate someone, or just try to start a fight, the thread gets locked or deleted. Simple. This is a skinning site, they are a skinning site, there is no place for personal attacks or proclaiming your hatred of another member of the community. If you have a problem with someone you deal with it in email. Do it here on this message board with a statement that is intended to hurt someone else or

oh stop it, let this thread go away. It's over at custo so don't come here and start it again. Plus, you left out the slam that was added by an admin at custo to the news post as well as the next several comments. But it doesn't matter, let it go away....

Doreen - wasn't crae one of the guys that drove you away? heh - I know I was one of the few that stuck up for you and tried to keep you there. Can't remember what crae was sayin at the time but the flap was over you talking too much or something like that. Too many OT posts or something (which later became a standard at the site). Whatever - thank god you stayed... the world woulod be a bleaker place for skinning without you around <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/joke.gif" bor

that reminds me... what ever happened to d'mer? he was making some great LS themes that were easy for any level of competence. (cept me, I still couldn't figure em out)

Robo - don't be too harsh. there's plenty of love and kindness here too. Plus there's some compassion for custo mixed in with all the hurt and anger. I think it's just really confusing, disorienting, to get attacked publicly like that. It's an ugly thing and no amount of discussing it makes it any less ugly. I agree, this thread is painful too. But Doreen and crae can post here without having to worry about being attacked and called names. If they were consistently treated tha

It sounds like you got a corrupt skin file loaded. Try restarting with the control key pressed in to prevent Windowblinds from loading, then see if you can delete the bad file (probably the last skin you applied). ... just guessing btw - good luck

When you create a new file it asks you for the size, you could enter it there and you'll be starting off with the size you want. If you have a file open, go to Image on the menu and use Canvas Size to make the file the size you want or Resize if you want to stretch the whole image to a new size. It's a good idea to always work at the largest resolution you plan to make. Resizing down looks better than resizing up.

Adam - you need IconPackager to use the icons. You should use the set called Purple Glass Folders, the one right under the XP one. It will look a lot better on 98. You can get IconPackager here: https://www.stardock.com/products/iconpackager/ and yes, Windowblinds skins work on any version of Windows from 95 up

First, for those icons you need to be running WindowsXP. If you're not you can use the other set without the XP in the title. Download and install IconPackager to use the icons: https://www.stardock.com/products/iconpackager/ Download and install Windowblinds to use the skins: http://www.windowblinds.net

hehe Elfie... you're a one of a kind I couldn't relate either. I couldn't find an answer that suited me in almost all of the questions. I am old don't watch Star Trek used to hang at BBS's but never ran my own and don't have my own newsgroup. I guess I'm a graphics geek. Not on the list...

XP icons use alpha blending that only works right on XP. The set Adam mentioned is an XP set, there is another identical set with the same name posted right under it that is not an XP alpha blended set. Everything here works on any version of Windows with the only exceptions being the XP icons, Logons and CursorXP (XP only) and of course, the Pocket PC stuff only works on a Pocket PC.

yep it's an XP only icon set but there's another one that's the same icons for win98/2000. I'm not sure what you're asking in your other question but if you mean site skins for this website it's in your profile. Click on "ediit account" up above and you can choose from a bunch of different site skins.

The fact is whether they are 10 years old or 40 it doesn't excuse a skinning site admin attacking skinnning software on any skinning site. Their actions are flat out inexcusable and wrong. It appears they love the controversy, the arguments and name calling. They must think it makes them cool somehow, probably in some whiteboy hip/rap I'm so bad sort of way. hehe what a couple of losers... they want you to use stylesxp which isn't skinning software, doesn't do anything, limits you to using MS's

I'm not sure I can articulate my feelings here but I'll give it a try... Skinning and customizing how your computer looks and works is something that guarantees at some point you're going to crash. Even without skinning involved, just using a lot of beta software will do the same thing. It's not uncommon to encounter some incompatibility that you need to either work around or find a fix for. I've never had any respect for people that bash software because they couldn't get it to work ri
