Try this, right-click on the download link and select 'save target as' to download the file to your desktop. Then use the 'add' button to install the skin. That should work every time.

must have something to do with the exchange rate...
Try getting some help at the Windowblinds newsgroup. They'll want to know what your system consists of, what version of WB you're running and specifics about the problem. I'm not having any of the difficulties you describe but it sure sounds like you've got a corrupt installation of WB. You can find the newsgroup here: news://news.stardock.com/stardock.windowblinds There's a separate binaries group if you want to post a screenshot and a development group for alpha and beta version questions.
Thanks a lot! It's so nice to have someone make a thread just to say how much they like the site Not that it hasn't happened before, but, it doesn't happen that often either.... mookyrooky for president (of whatever country you prefer the exchange rate in).
I know how you feel Renato, and I agree. Not replying is appropriate for the demanding tone a lot of emails have. Communication skills are a pretty basic part of social interaction. A complete lack of common courtesy and manners in a personal email requesting help from another person doesn't warrant a response at all.
The only easy way to do it would be to use Skin Studio.
Isn't it true that if they charged 5% of every dollar made, with no loopholes or dodges, they'd have twice as much money and we wouldn't need to deal with the insane complexity of the tax laws and the IRS? This years tax laws are 3 times the size of the Bible (literaly, in number of words on paper).
When you double click the file it installs it to the Windowblinds list. You then have to select the skin and apply it in the display properties dialog.
Windowblinds functions absolutely fantastic right out of the box. Plus it does so much more and so much better than those "styles" you refer to that it doesn't deserve to be compared.
Wasn't there a mysterious red rash that was showing up only in schools? School is where most kids develop antibodies to all the common ailments but these days the bugs are a lot nastier and have new internal code every year so you just keep getting infected with a new strain of something you already had. After our kid grew up I found the same thing happened going to conventions. Something about a 5 hour flight seems to guarantee you'll catch something dreadful.
I.E. should work okay - I'm not sure what would cause the problem you're seeing there. But Photoshop, being an Adobe program which was originally written for the Mac OS, has some quirks with Windowblinds. I've found that using a UIS1 skin works fine with PS (and Illustrator too). The problem is finding a UIS1 that isn't a sub-skin which doesn't work on a per-app setting. I'm using an old copy of Flute+. I wish people that made UIS1 versions of their skins would release them separately rather tha
nice system... you could run a small country with a computer like that... Post a picture of it Elffie, I'd like to see that aluminium tower. The LCD screen sounds nice too. They sure make these things irresistable don't they?
Now that I've learned to resist punching the friggin monkey banners don't really bother me either... (except for the ones that flash primary colors on and off... )
well, the obvious answer is to uninstall it, re-download the file and reinstall it. The re-download is important because you could have a corrupt installation file. If that doesn't work then give a lot more information about your system, OS etc. to get some help. You also nmight want to post your question to the Windowblinds newsgroup where there are more likely to be people that could help with a strange problem. news://news.stardock.com/stardock.windowblinds
Doreen (hi btw ) your profile is a popup, your list of skins is a popup and the comments/ratings box for every skin is a popup. There really are some necessary ones that if they don't get through the filter makes it very irritating. As long as a site only has one popup it's not so bad if you leave it open and go back to the page you're on with the popup underneath in the z order. Usually, as long a
haha /me wonders if there are any statistics on buggy software releases that come out on a Friday...
Adobe Photoshop is the best bmp editor in my opinion but there are several others that do a fine job also. Paint Shop Pro is the most popular because it's a great low-priced alternative to PS. Corel PhotoPaint is an excellent paint program too. And of course, there's the Gimp which is free.
hmmm.... I'm babbling... need coffee...
chichi - you could easily build a picture in to that spot in the graphics for the top panel but the problem is, your name moves over to where the picture is if there's no picture. That's the problem we need to solve, how to move the name back over to where it would be with a picture when there is no picture there.
I have a hat and a shirt and a sweatshirt... want coffee mug
hehehe.... :Þ
If you log on to a domain, there won't be an image there. It only shows up if you're not on a network or you logon to a workgroup.
cluelessvillas - I already had answered your question in the other thread you posted it in...
cuevillas - every filetype here except wallpapers needs a program running to load it. In the case you mentioned, IP, you would need to download and install IconPackager. To get the programs just click on the program name in the titlebar of the skin and download a copy from the developer's website.
