As I said in the thread at skinz a year ago, it amazes me that Apple (with less than 10% of the computer market, mostly accounted for by graphic artists and related industries) would go after graphic artists that try to emulate their OS design and their functionality. They should thank them for their efforts and give them a free Mac... I'm not arguing their right to protect their property, I just think from a marketing point of view it's a stupid reaction....
btw - that's in the ObjectBar's properties dialog. If you want to test it with an XP style bar, select the clock and apply it there. Or create a new section in the taskbar for it, it's really a neat trick.

tHAT'S eASY fOR yOU tO sAY..... and - as for the menu thing, I don't think it removes the menu from the app but rather, puts the app's menu in the ObjectBar. To do this you select the item under "Behavior/Special Functionality" that says "Replace this section's content temporarily with the menu items of the currently active window when applicable".

The fact is (for me anyway) no matter how pretty you can make WinXP with an MSStyles theme, it still will never compare to the advantages of running Windowblinds. I have become addicted to being able to roll up a window with a right click on the border. I love having a clock in the window, being able to play MP-3's from controls on the window border, launch an app... etc. Plus, for my money, WB looks so much better than XP themes it's not even a fair comparison. The added benefit of skin suites
what's it doing Sylva? One of mine (Seti green) had problems with the auto OB thing so I made a stand alone skin. The problem was with the taskbar graphics and I found an easy way to fix it on my machine but it was too complicated to suggest for everyone else. So maybe your problem would be easy to fix too. Can you post a screenshot of it?
Have you tried logging off and back on? or a restart?
If you're using Object Bar you can load any skin that's made for it. So, you have access to the 3 that come with it and the 79 that are on this site plus you can make your own. The XP style taskbar and start menu is only one style of Object Bar. But without XP it's the only way to do that. It will also emulate a Mac with the finder bar or you can invent your own style.

If you're using the auto-WB convertor then the Object Bar is taking it's settings from the Windowblinds skin. Skin Studio won't help in that case because there's no OB skin to work with.
The effect you get on your computer should be exactly what you see in the preview image for the skin. When you apply a Windowblinds skin it can change the backgrounds, colors etc. to match the skin. You might need to tell WB to change those things by checking the boxes in "settings" in the Windowblinds configuration window. I can't remember what the default settings are. Object bar works the same way, just load a downloaded skin and it should give you the same result as in the
Logons have a lot of different states in different conditions. So far, I've only seen one state since my configuration doesn't ever change. You can change all those extra images but I don't think it will show up anywhere except on a logon screen. The image files are in a logon directory. oh god... don't extract the file to your system32 folder... bad idea. A Windowblinds skin can have 150 files in it. Leave the file in the state you download it in. I used to benchmark my system almost daily but haven't been that bored for years... Whatever happened to the Landmark Speed Test? I'd love to test it if someone knows a good benchmarking utility (that doesn't take hours to run). It would be interesting to see how fast different skins are too.

It would be very hard to figure out what's wrong without looking at your files. If WB is not generating all the WBD files then something is seriously wrong. If you want to email the file to me I'll take a look at it and see if I notice anything.
