hiya Baker... I guess you won't be talkin about it then eh?

hehe - sorry, didn't mean to sound so stern.  I think we're all tired of hearing about this...  No one did anything wrong, just don't want to keep feeding the troll. Doreen's TV? you bet! but first I have to update Humidor for GM and finish SETIglass but I can't do that till after I  make a couple skins for the Olympics and a couple other projects I've been putting off so I can try to make a living... so, yeah I will update it, I just can't commit to when...
IPlural started a thread with the same title as this one. I've d it and I don't want to see another one like it started. thanks... this issue is over.
Try this, run DX and then activate a widget while DX is running. Then it should work without DX running after that.
looks like a good "inexpensive" upgrade... more hard drive and faster memory. The extra video RAM will help too.  I'd recommend adding another 256 of RAM when you can. Do you notice any imporovement in speed?
Before this goes any farther downhill I'm locking this thread...
TC - I seem to remember this, wasn't it about a year ago? If it's the same one I'm thinking of, it was the time where you and a couple other members were so distasteful that I decided I didn't want to be here any more.  It's interesting to hear that GM felt the same way. If I have any say in this, you, TC, will be the one who goes away this time. I don't like seeing users demand the "right" to be such unpleasant people that regular users are driven away. This happened about a yea
I assume it's been dealt with... I don't see anything offensive in there. Am I missing something?
Happy Birthday!
hmmm... I don't see any explorer backgrounds at all...
?? it's back?! you mean you can change the explorer background now from a button? how bizzarre... I like it
WindowBlinds used to have a setting to make explorer window backgrounds "transparent".  Actually it was a duplicate of your wallpaper from whatever location the window was in.  Something about WindowsXP made Stardock remove that feature. With the speed of new CPUs and graphics cards, it would be great to get that feature back again. The buttons Stumpy mentioned are a transparency plugin by GreenReaper that lets you adjust the transparency of the entire window. I know it's in a
wow what a great thread that is (the tips). I hadn't seen it either... (must get out more often)
I just looked at the skin, the wallpaper is in the skin's directory. It's almost 6Mb, it's named DesktopWallpaper, just look in there,  you can't miss it.
The "problem" with the CopperDeck cursors is that the file has a zip extension instead of the doubleclickable CurXPTheme extension. Davebutler didn't create anything, he simply re-named it.  I guess a lot of people don't know you can rename a theme file to .zip and vice-versa. So davebutler, do the right thing and don't you dare post that file anywhere... people will just have learn to rename files, unzip files and create directories all on their own. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/
This is really exciting... there will be so many great new skins this month.
Do we enter the contest as the subcategories? good question (and nice to see this thread getting back on topic) A new skin from Baker is a real exciting proposition! Two new skins is overwhelming
Congrats Tim!  you hit a million just before WC reaches a million members. Certainly well deserved. ... I'm feeling old too  )
I would also recommend the hospice for you and your mother jarget. They are so helpful and so compassionate. The process of passing from this world is something everyone will undertake at some time. It's good to have experts to help maintain the dignity and courage we would all like to experience at such a time. You have my heartfelt condolences and I also second the advice, be with her as much as you can.
Shameless, look at the one called Alien Technology if you're going to do that. It has UIS1 subskins with UIS2 skins. That one has 9 skins in it. Koasati is right, you'll have to do some tweaking after converting to UIS1, especially to the border sizes to make a 3 pixel border which the convertor doesn't do right. It's best to look at it as a new skin and re-do the whole thing after the conversion.
some Grim news would be welcome... hope all is well with him.
You can make subskins and apply them as per-app skins to get the effect of different titlebars for different apps. Toolwindows have a different titlebar also.
One of the first skins I made back in 1999 was done specifically for ACDSee (or any graphics viewer) but it worked ok for a general use skin too. That was Darkmarble. I'm a photographer and I wanted a 'picture frame' skin. The per-app capabilities of WindowBlinds has always been one of my favorite features. I also made a skin for Doreen to use on her on-screen TV tuner. It's called Doreen's TV and was intended to be a per-app skin.
I'm too slow... someone always answers while I'm slowly typing out my comment...
I believe it's in the (SkinStudio) Miscellaneous/Colors/Menus - the one called; "Menu - Highlighted Background (XP only)"
