Obviously this is an emotionaly charged issue for a lot of people and really should be a matter of personal judgement. The art world has always been more liberal when it comes to figure studies. I think it's interesting that he doesn't have any walls from Layne Karkruf who sells his wallpapers on his own website. Maybe this guy feels that work that gets posted on 'skins' sites for free is open to redistribution. Layne has a lot of very visible notices on his site about not reposting his work anywhere. Here and on the other skins sites there aren't any visible notices about intellectual property rights or redistribution policies.

wow what a collection... this site is more heavily moderated than we'll ever be... easy to do when it's not a community site the artists post their own work to. He's got something from everybody there, and most of them with no credit to the artist. I even found one of mine. As MobiusCo says it is a nice site. Too bad he doesn't include credit.

berzerka - you've ignored the question of ripping through this entire thread. It's not a minor issue to the artists that produce work for any skinnable app or for wallpaper artists. The speed just showed up for me too... nice! It loads with blazing speed now. There's still something funny with the site skins though. I get the default skin on the MB even though my preference settings work on the rest of the site. Whatever you did to bump the speed it's a huge improvement! way to go...

For drawing stuff I use CorelDraw or Illustrator if it's vector and Photoshop 6 for bitmaps. To make skins I mostly use Photoshop to do everything and then Object Edit or Notepad to do the UIS/INI files. The viewer I'm addicted to is ACDsee. Other indespensible tools for me would be Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, CuteFTP, Homesite, Corel Texture and Hardwood Solitaire...
