I went looking for the skin you mentioned but I couldn't find it. There is a DX theme by that name. There are tons of XP skins to choose from though, just check when you're downloading that the file extension is either .WBA or .ZIP... if it's anything else, let us know and we'll delete it. Thanks...

You're absolutely right TurdFerg. That has happened with XP related walls and skins. Moderation also involves making subjective judgements as to the quality of the work, the usefullness as a desktop wallpaper, the design, color scheme, etc. Also there are objective criteria like how well executed the artwork is, is it your own work or just a cut and paste with some filters, etc. etc. It's not easy making the decision to reject a person's work and we all take this responsibility very ser

Last time I died I didn't remember the whole experience but did bring the memory of my death in the form of a dream that reoccurred constantly while I was an infant. Later in life I was lucky enough to have a Tibetan Monk take me through the whole experience conciously. It was refferred to as 'realizing the dream state'. After death there was a void - absolute nothingness - except I was still aware. A tiny sensation in what seemed like a distant point in the void caused the s

Nice job on the skin primer Brad And of course I agree about the enormous talent of Alex! She's a true wonder and (dare I say it?) a national treasure... should be a statue of her in Quebec...

Last night my son convinced me to play in a lan game with his friends. It's the first time I've played one of those games and I had a great time! I especially liked the floating spirit view you get after being killed....

Patience Tolerance Compromise Healthy doses of all of the above mixed with a sincere appreciation of your partner go a long way to making a relationship last. We're approaching our 28th anniversary in a couple months, and both my wife and I are still grateful to have each other around.

Dick Cheney's response to a related question in an "approved" transcript from NBC: MR. RUSSERT: The chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee said this is a failure of great dimension in terms of intelligence. Will George Tenet remain as director of the CIA? VICE PRES. CHENEY: I think George clearly should remain as director of the CIA. I think — I’ve had great confidence in him. I’ve watched him operate now and worked closely with him for the last seven or ei

I've seen two different explanations from the CIA as to why the tip went unheeded. The first was "we get these kind of reports all the time" (which British intelligence emphaticly said was not true... not through the channel from which this was delivered). If this were true and they just didn't take it seriously, George Tenet should resign as Director. (This next warning was from the Mossad a month ago, delivered personaly in Washington. The other warnings with specific details of the attack

The inconcievable horror of the attack. That is why people react with hatred. For everyone that is unable to distinguish between fanatical terrorists and innocent people because of the way they dress or their ethinic origins or their faith, there must be at least a hundred more that can make the distinction. The people with level heads and good judgement are needed to watch for hate crimes and discrimination wherever they live and try to put reason into the situation. As El

Can the American people be trusted to make decisions or even just be informed of decisions our government makes? I think so... and I think we should demand to be informed and hold our politicians accountable. I'm proud of all that America stands for and I wish that our foreign policy could consistently reflect those values. I would like to believe that we are being told we will give up many of our freedoms because that is necessary to eradicate this evil from our planet, and not to protect a c

I don't know what is true and what isn't. Some things just make no sense to me. Terrorism makes no sense to me. The facts that are known regarding the CIA's involvement with training and supporting insurgency (terrorist) groups are public record. No one disputes it. And this is from an agency that reveals absolutely nothing about their actions to the public. Not only does the CIA have a complete blanket of secrecy over their operations except for some disclosure to the congressional sele

On Wednesday there was an article on the London Times website stating that the British intelligence agency was furious at the CIA. They claim they had given the CIA information warning them of this attack. They had names, dates and the target (WTC and DC buildings) and said the information was passed with the highest level of confidence and urgency to the top level contact at the CIA. They were demanding to know why this information was ignored... That article also appeared at the BBC website

since that seems to be the case I'll break it up into three parts... I've been staying out of conversations on the MB's because I'm not sure of my own rationality at this time. I was struck with such numbing grief and rage, and then found out that a very good friend of mine was on the plane that hit the Pentagon. Having her face, her voice and her wonderful personality attached to the incidents has deeply personalized and multiplied my pain and my rage. It's impossible to get the
