uh oh Qwakui, go here http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/[email protected] and get the removal tool... it's a very nasty virus.

I sent an email to all the links they have for contacts. ________________________________________________ Sirs, Your site has artwork from several artisits that post their work at www.wincustomize.com It appears you have taken the screenshots and the files from either there or deviantart.com. Looks like they stole the Wincustomize layout for the ICQ list and just took a bunch of skins with it. The Winamp section is still all photoskins and the other layout (like the last pages of the ICQ section). They are probably in the process of updating their site with Alex's layout and skins from here. Someone needs to let these guys know it's not okay to steal...
seems they didn't want to steal any of mine This is a great example of the *other* skinning world. They have a link on the front page to something called EZ Themes that will automatically upload your skin to over 60 sites like this. yikes...
your link didn't work Alex but maybe this one will... http://www.thetopthemes.com/
color request: any dark stonewashed color but prferably dark grey, black or dark green
are they only available in white?
it seems to have stopped here.... none today. lucky me
After dumping my cache I see it's the metal theme with the lounging lizard. I was getting bits of the old default and the rest was the XP skin. very nice my favorite color scheme of them all.
I've got the blue chunks also... gonna clear my cache - that should fix it. I don't get a brown either I get the red and tan from the metal theme... same colors.
IT'S BACK!!! -that was fast...
So it looks like we're going to have another re-opening party! "LOSIII Reborn Again" coming soon....
The file attachment is a randomly chosen file from the host computer so each mailer will have a different subject line and a different attachment. So far all of them I've gotten (the sircam virus) have been over 200k. I also got one called the W95MTX matrix worm/virus combo a few days ago. That one came in about 7 times (it shows up as two consecutive emails) and I've gotten the sircam about thirty times so far.
oh great... now I'm worried about you... are you sure you're okay alex? it could be something more serious you know... have you seen a doctor? don't go outside in the rain and make it worse... take care of yourself and I'll just sit here and worry about you until you get okay again
it's been in two or three threads here and a news post on the front page. and, yes, I think at this point we're all getting it... nasty one called sircam32
Welcome Back oh wandering one! It's great to see you here again. Careful when you check your email, you'll probably have a bunch of sircam virus letters in there...
It's great to hear there's an upgrade coming! Thanks for all the effort going into keeping this site accessible... I truly appreciate it.
Thanks for the info AJ... you reinforce my intention to stay with Win2k
If the janitor would quit going on vacation all the time we wouldn't need all these extra people congrats btw
haha - finally we have a couple of pros here to set things straight maybe alexandrie can get some sleep now?
I thought I had escaped this one but then, yesterday I got mailed a different virus/worm combo that comes in two consectutive emails. It's the W95MTXdr virus and came from someone in Argentina who had asked me about where to send winamp skins. And then today I started getting the W32sircam virus that this thread is about. The sender is unknown to me and the subject line is "Capital Gain 99". In both cases my virus scanner did not catch it. I don't believe I've been infected but I
or put another way - Ed Craeonics... a natural shortening of the full title... how's it going Ed?
Sorry, I should have said, that link goes to an article on cNet - not the worm
I've heard of problems getting into the message board, but I haven't experienced it myself. There's a lot of problems this week with Internic causing thousands of DNS problems, today Q-West has major problems on the west coast (DSL provider)causing most of their customers to be offline, and then there's this worm that's supposed to start in an hour from right now and slow down the internet for most users http://news.cnet.com/news/0-1003-200-6616583.html?tag=mn_hd although those things u
