Maybe this is something that the new developers should fix. Why Not?

I whole-heartedly second this request. Who was it who came up with the idea of having a city management screen that wouldn't let you manage?
You can get ships and islands in first dlc MAP PACK.
Good to know. That will be a start.
Yes, yes, yes. Give me fleets & ships, and much much more. With ships installed, many things become possible... 1] Like Civ, you can determine how much water you want your random world to generate. 2] You can have more interesting quests (something like Sinbad had). 3] You ca
I also like the idea of a Community Design Pool . It could include the following... 1. Units 2. Factions 3. SOVs 4. Maps 5. Flags (when the Devs allow us to change these)
I'm having the same issue. Not very encouraging to see this game-breaking bug slip by into the final release...
I think the game is a long way from its final release. I understand that Stardock somewhat recently replaced the design team with the one that did GalCiv, and they have lots (and lots) of corrections/improvements/additions to make. So take heart and report the bugs that y
All of this definitely sounds broken to me.
You can garner prestige with any of these... Merchantcross Bazaar Prestigious Locations Iron Works Entertainment
I don't know if the options are listed anywhere specifically (they may be determined randomly), but you could always make a list as you go along to see if they are random or specific. The general description of each city type does exist, and is as follows... Towns specialize in Growth and Financial pursuits <sp
"Is there any place where I can read about what the different options are for city upgrades as they develop?" Yes there is. You have access to the 'Hiergamenon .' I am currently building a spreadsheet that contains the information you're asking about, and have used it extensively. Simply do the following... &
It was referring to the traits chosen by each AI at the start of games. Previously they were 100% random which gave odd results sometimes - an AI could have one trait to make it focus on warfare, then another to make it focus on magic. Or one that made them peaceful, and another that made them aggressive. Now, custom sovereigns will inherit a selection of reasonable AI traits from the race they were created from.
</
umm... you can name your saves. Anything you want to in fact.
I stand corrected. I never noticed the gray input bar above the saved games. Thanks Glowing Ember.
I have turned away 2 prospective Buyers (of FE) because I could not let them play the tutorial. I was currently in a game and did not want to have my game get overwritten by theirs. Users should be allowed to name their saves whatever they want to so there will be no overwriting of previously saved games unless the user wants to.
I just found out (from ParrotMath) that you can press [TAB] for the next active unit.
Hope this gets fixed, and I hope there's a place for people to post their maps for other players to download.
Good idea, and it should also be done for monuments out beyond city limits (for both players & AI)
Old problem. I really hope they get it fixed.
Thanks, so do I.
Prestige can be enhanced by building on 'Prestigious Locations' scattered across the map.
Maybe the developers should hire Tuidgy as a consultant. I believe he could give them some useful insights into the game.
Issues like this make you wonder if the coders & designers ever play the game. for example, how come there is no 'next' button to press so you can scroll through all of your active units? And how come there's no 'center' button to center the screen on the active unit? And there are numerous places where the text disappears way too quickly. <span style="f
I think there is a city upgrade that gives +1 influence per turn
You're right Solosol, towns can build 'Missionary Hall' which generates +1 Influence per season.
Are you saying that you do this during the combat? I didn't know that 'settle' was an option during combat.
Controlling Prestigious locations will also add influence to your faction
I'm making a quick-reference spreadsheet for use with Fallen Enchantress to help me quickly find the resources and other things in the game that I need. What remains to be done is to identify the sources of influence and prestige . I'll ask the experienced FE players out there, what are the best sources of influence in the game, and what are t

I was recently in a similar situation. Vista 32 bit, 4 GB ram, only 3.2 GB or so visible to OS. Upgraded to Win 7 64 bit and that improvement alone made the game much more enjoyable. Can't give you advice on Win 8 but highly recommend Win 7 64 bit. Giving the game up to that 4G
