It is my pleasure as a new senator of the MWC to congratulate all good peeople of fertile lands with incredible success that our empire achieved in the recent past.

We are not the fastest growing empire but the quickest to rise in ratings. Opportunities are excellent for new (and seasoned) players to make their mark on the face of Metaverse.

We are not asking anyone to defect from other respected empires. We are asking people of midlands (of North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, Japan, all islands) to join MWC. If desire to help a real and noble cause will regretfully make you leave existing empire so be it. Be strong in your true aligence.

We defeated G.R.O.S.S, others are shaking seeing MWC make it's way up.

Celebrate if you are an MWC member. Join us and we shall go together to the glorious future of the Mid Western Confederation.

I am guessing, end to end, it would have been about 5-6 hours

It may have been just an aberation.

1 I had a center starting position.
2 All but the Yor found me early and started trading with me - I think this helped me keep relations at warm or better most of the game
3 I didn't colonize many stars early - just recognized what I could get to quick then started researching like crazy
4 I essentially rushed to party palace and terror star
5 Used party palace to flip a few close starts that were giving me culture problems - and to have more constructor production
6 Amassed enough constructors to terror star the whole galaxy - except minors.
7 Waited for the constructors to arrive
8 Waited for the constructors to arrive
9 Waited for the constructors to arrive
10 When they arrived - POOF!

End of story

Actually, that was a boring game for the most part and I just wanted to see if I could get a max score. :)

Don't know if I will do another one "just for enjoyment" - but for the points . . . ;-)

Oh, a couple other things:

1 Right after researching a tech, either trade for other techs, or gift it if you cant trade for anything
2 I had terror stars banned, so had to leave the UP in order to "POOF the univers"
3 Noted that the Arcaens, who were the most powerful for most of the game had a terrorstar almost built, but must have got stuck by the ban. WHew!

Who knows what would have happened if they would have gotten that built. :SURPRISED:

I would comment on the server crash if I actually understood anything you said. Suffice to say that you are our Server/Website Guru and I have no doubt that whatever is wrong you can fix it. Thank you agian for giving our Empire a home. :)

Yeah, I'm a big tech trader. The second I get a new tech, I try to whore it around to everyone else, then rinse and repeat with anything I got that others didn't get. Sometimes one new tech can turn into 20 or more techs in trade!

I just don't know if I would have the patience to play a larger map size. I get impatient enough on the small and medium maps. My last game I got too bored to culture flip and the Torians were too strong militarily, so I just settled for the alliance victory to get it over with. If I'm not enjoying the game, I don't want to drag it out to get a higher score...

I've never gone the terror star route. I think I'll try that on my next game for the hell of it. :)

I may be looking for new employment soon, which will effectivly cut off my T1 access. I may be emailing you soon about transfering my .sql dump and stuff.

It depends on what level of access you have to the server - I can do the full dns redirect, for which you would need to add the server alias to the httpd.conf file, or I can do an instant redirect page from my own server.

The latter might be better if you may have to move soon - but you might also want to think about migrating sooner rather than later - it's much easier if things aren't rushed! :)

Just got a large game in. I was going to try the terror star route for the last few systems, but damnit, they all defected the second my terror stars were built! I think they looked up into the sky and got scared. :)

Way to go!! I seem to have way too much trouble flipping systems. My only resort is to turn them into space powder.

Any clues as to why yours seem to flip easily?

OK, folks. Only a kool 70k behind the Jedi now. Time to start pushing. I know it is hard to get a game in regularly some times.

Kudos to idle for working hard getting the website back up AND getting a game in to boot!!

Well, the easy flipping could have been the 5 or so cultural resources I controlled and had maxed out with mines. :) I also had most of the cultural wonders.

Well, It's that time of the year again. Dreaded Exams!
That means precious time away from GalCiv.
I don't know how I can live.
Well, I have heard that playing Saintly works better on Gigantic maps, So I will try one when Exams are over.
Otherwise I won't be logging any games this week, Sry.

Oh, also, I am sorry about the Cakewalk difficulty. It was my very first game. I gradually increase my dosage of pain. So I will probably do a Normal to Challenging game, next.
