There is a thread for Empire websites which someone is accommodating under galciv.org that we might take advantage of. I'm not sure my creative writing is up to much more than providing my background story, but I shall start a blog if I am struck with inspiration.

Thats okay, just do a blog with your background story, apply to have it added to the pangaea blog group, and then when I have approved you, submit the article to the group.

After that it wouldn't really matter if you never submitted again, although you would have the freedom to do so if you felt inspired.

Hmm, I did find the page earlier, but I can't now. I really have to get to bed, I will try and invite you tomorrow. I thought there should be a way for you to apply for membership also. It said something about me getting an email notification when someone requested membership. :notsure:

Okay, the request arrived. For some reason even though it says it was sent yesterday at 22:38, it hadn't arrived yet by this mornings email download! Also, it is annoyingly in html, which is a pain because I have a non-html email program (deliberately, because usually only spam and virus' use html capability).

It would be nice if there was a total web based way of managing the blogs on the joeuser site itself. Oh well, I've approved you now anyway...

Anyway, what you have to do now, is go to your blog, which should now have an option to 'Feature' your article. Select this, and select 'pangaea' from the drop down list. Its probably the only option unless you've managed to get added to any other Blog Groups!

I think it should then appear on the pangaea site.

In future, you can choose whether or not to 'feature' any article you write on your blog. If you do, it will appear on the PanGaea blog group, otherwise it will only appear on your personal Blog.

Hmm, it is odd, your article is listed in the PanGaea Blog Groups 'channels' tab...

Okay, I give up for now. I have changed our empire page to the PanGaea 'channel' page. This will show the latest five articles in each 'channel' of the all the blogs that are connected with the PanGaea blog group.

This means Kevins background story is now listed. It should also keep the empire front page fresh and up to date. Readers will still be able to access older articles in each channel, but will have to go looking...

Another week goes by, another Galaxy conquered. Huge one this time...

...We're still at 18. I think we temporarilly went up to 17 yesterday, even though we didn't submit any games. I think it was because a United Benzoian left. They're back above us now, so I don't know if the errant member rejoined them or whether the others made up some score for them.

Either way they're only a little ahead of us...

We've just squeezed past into 17th Empire by a mere few hundred points!

In fact, right now we are at 16! I don't know how, but I think it may be that Arnor have dropped a couple places for some reason.

Okay, we're not at 16 any more, but I have just got my first win at 'Challenging'!

Well, I refreshed the empire data and we squeezed in front again by a few hundred points to make it back to 17th! Well done! Its a tough and competitive Metaverse out there!
