We haven't made it live yet. QA wants a pass on it to make sure it's not broken.

Thanks! You made my day! Cheers, -brad
As far as I'm concerned GalcivIII has been a complete waste of money. From the Alpha to the present day i have not been able to complete a single bloody play through. Late game the same thing happens turns get longer & longer & longer until the point the game keeps crashing and becomes unplayable. I've even took a year of in the hope that the Galciv team might iron out the bugs in this shit show of a game. It's just s
With the "steam model" developers (not just Stardock) really don't put the time and effort into games that they used to. Anyone remember game manuals? Or even the tech tree maps? No?, I didn't think so.... Heck, I even remember a thread posted by Brad where he was contemplating whether or not to follow the DLC model. It's a different time and a different market, and the focus is to crank out as much
I'm not really sure why I should care what someone who has so little respect for other people thinks. I stopped reading as soon as it got insulting.
It'll be in the opt-in put out tomorrow. We don't release updates on weekends.
The basics Ashes of the Singularity is a massive-scale, real-time-strategy game set in the future where individual beings command vast armies of machines to conquer entire worlds to add them to their empires. Concept Ashes of the Singularity was released first. It was designed to target both new players to the genre as well as veteran players. After release, however, veteran players provided a wealth of feedback t

Game options and UI - Skirmish Map options should show what they mean/configure when you mouse over them. Currently you have to open up the options first and mouse over those to work it out. Good idea. Not sure if this will be ready by release but added to tghe list. - The defence building, The Barrager, says it has a long range but can’t hit things close to it. Would be nice to have two r
Thank you very much for this. Respones and what wer're doing to address this next up.
I've updated a few months f the images with higher resoluti N ones. That any better?
Not to offend anybody, but to be honest with you, the terrain texture looks rather shit. Hope thats not its highest possible resolution, cause its fairly blurry compared to the 3D models of buildings and units, which are pretty sharp otherwise. Its difficult to put into words, but the it looks weird overall and just not right - unlike sandy and grassy landscapes from the original game.
Which one? Som
Re Modding: There are TWO areas I find Ashes lacking in the modding area right now. #1 no particle editor #2 No built in way to convert fbx files to oxfiles. Both ARE coming. But the lack of this wouldn't keep a dedicated modder from figuring it out. It just makes it harder. Since all our games are using Nitrous from here on out, we'll release these tools as they mature so it's not a long-term issue.
@ASADDF Ashes has plenty of modding support right now. There's an included map editor. Anyone can make scenarios. You can easily modify the units in the game. You can modify the UI. If you want to argue that there should be more modding support, that's fine, but to say there's none, that's just plain incorrect. Similarly, the design of what happens when you multi-select buildings and give buidl ordres isn't a bug. It's just a d
LOVE the new terrain! How is PC performance of escalation compared to regular Ashes?
Better but those perf improvements will be backported.
Ashes isn't mod friendly, has an over-simplified research system, doesn't have any depth to unit balance, has no sea units, no transport units, no non-hover land units, no manual ability control. TA was an immensely deeper game, with naval, transport units, actual use for low tier units beyond consuming extra metal. There is zero comparison between Sins and Ashes, Sins actually has research trees, va
No. :)
If you want to see the stats and details on units there are a handful of files that will have everything you need: In the assets\gamecore directory you wlll find: UnitTemplates.csv BuildingTemplates.csv WeaponModuleTemplates.csv These are the two main files you can open up in Excel and look at things like cost, weapon damage, rate of fire, etc. We will be listening to suggestions on balance.
If you guys have a list of active players you would like to nominate to be upgraded to lifetime edition, post here: I nominate TicToc.
HI all! YOu should now be able to get it IF You're a lifetime founder: Right click on Escalation in your STeam game lists. Go to betas type in TimeToEscalate and select that branch.
Im not sure you can really blame the players here, im pretty sure everyone posting here has already paid you for ashes and the fact that they are visting this games forum says they are passionate about ashes. Me personally I paid twice the normal price as a lifetime member to get ashes brought to life as I believed in the idea early on and wanted to get it going. I have already done my part. either as a company y
il test it, but i thought it was going to be open anyways for founders?
Not the betas necessarily. We're afraid people will not realize it's a private-ish beta and post on public forums.
