Sadly however in my Godlike game recently I've AI''s that haven't even colonized all the planets in their tiny systems at 50+ turns in, so upgrading the AI definitely has a way to go still.
I'd really need to see the saved game for that. Even on Easy they would do that.

Thanks! I have to say, I've been really enjoying working on the AI. A lot of time has been spent in the debugger and it's amazing how far that sort of thing has come over the years. Back when I made the OS/2 version, I had to use beeps to tell what the AI was doing! ;)
The base game on EPIC costs £33.50/$59.99 Guess what? Supernova also costs £33.50/$59.99 That doesn't make much sense, right? Who'd buy the base game? So are you charging money for Supernova or not? Judged by Epic's pricing you're giving it away for free!??
That's because Supernova is in early access and the base game is not. Supernova (the bundle) will go up to $49.99 at release. Right now it's $39.99 which is the same as the base game (which i
You might want to read the whole discussion. I stated multiple times that I would/will pay for the work that's been put into it. We were just disagreeing about pricing decisions.
Please don't tell me that this whole thing is because you object to the $5 delta between the bundled price and the price of GC4 + Supernova separately. Because bundles, like I've said previously, are always cheaper than individual purchases.

Again : Galactic Civilizations IV, the base game, was released in May 2022. That's over a year ago. You bought that game. That game has been updated many times and will continue to be updated. You exchanged money for a product and received your product. GalCiv IV, base game is completed. It's not in early access. You got a discount on the early access of GalCiv IV. GalCiv IV, on Epic, went up to $49.99 after release. Yo

That’s what I’d recommend for you. Games get cheaper the longer someone waits. GalCiv III was $44.99 on its own when it first came out. Then the expansions and DLCs come out and various bundles are cheaper when bought together than if someone has bought the base game and every DLC as they came out. There was a recent sale where GC3 could be bought for $12 which included Crusade and Retribution expansions. You bought GC4. It has and will continue t
If you sell expansion packs for $29.99 be prepared to starve man, unless it contains at least 50-70% of the full game as bare minimum..
Our expansions, such as GalCiv III: Crusade and going all the way back to GalCiv I: Altarian Prophecy launched at $29.99. And neither of those expansions have near as much content as GalCiv IV: Supernova has.
Have a look at what's happening to Total War WH3 becaus

Loading GalCiv IV: Supernova is an expansion to GalCiv IV. Typically we sell expansion packs for $29.99. Since no version of GalCiv IV is available on Steam, we are bundling GalCiv IV + Supernova together as a single package. People with GalCiv IV (base) can get the expansion pac

GalCiv III Language Support and Translation Introduction: Greetings! For those of you who played GalCiv III, you might recall that its language support was somewhat limited. Given the sheer volume of text in the game, coupled with our small studio size in America, our linguistic reach was a bit narrow...to put it mildly. With GalCiv IV, we want to try to make sure we can get to as many people as possible and for that, we

On the research side, we need to balance that inflation a lot more so that tech doesn't just pour in. On the production side on ships, the plan is to have a tech that let shipyards build +1 ships per turn and later +2 (so 3 ships per turn). However, this needs to be coupled with a Fleet Suppy concept so that we aren't using gigabytes with tends of thousands of ships.

Generally speaking, in GalCiv games there has been three types of players: The first player is the relatively new or casual player who finds the AI ridiculously hard and will post "The AI is cheating" (the AI doesn't cheat unless you make the settings super high). They say this because the AI is able to expand fairly quickly because it is quite good at scouting (the AI tends to build a lot more scouts than players) and finding planets. It has no idea where the planets are.

From my perspective, AI art works quite a bit better than working with 90% of artists to get a typical task done. And I’ve know plenty of artists who photobash or do paint overs and do so professionally. This was made to provide our engineers direction.

Greetings! So if you look back at GalCiv III you'll notice it wasn't translated into that many languages. There's just a ton of text in this game and being a small American studio we don't really have ready access to a lot of people who speak a lot of languages. Here are the languages we are just about to put out into the Insider's build: German (improved over what is there now) French Russian Polish Brazilian Portuguese Italian Spanish

Yea...I've been feeling the same about both the Beacon and the Starport. But mean, I just love them so much and was hoping no one would notice how OP t hey were. ;) Thanks for the feedback. I'll look into how we can make those...more balanced.
