I think the rating system should be done away with. A gold star for you today Johnny! I have been guilty of rating a skin more than once, only because I forgot I rated it before. And I only rate a skin if Wincustomize rates it low because the author is not in the favorite list; other besides that I leave the ratings alone. My 2 cents worth.

There is not a bitmap for that area but like I said, the more programs bitmap keeps its size so you can simulate a mouseover bitmap. treetog has many skins with simulated mouseover on the more programs.

Been there, done that. One way to fix that is to go into the folder options, file types and delete the boo boo. Then open an icon file and choose the correct program and make sure the checkbox is checked to open all. Another method might be to reinstall Icon packager but that way I don't know for sure. Little tip: You can open most everything with notepad but make sure the open all checkbox is not checked when doing so.
They left that section out so the skinners could be more creative. In other words there is not a background for More Programs but the section maintains it's size so put on the thinking/creative cap and go for something cool for that area.

Perhaps VNY you are not loading an icon package before you make the change. I don't change icons that often because it gets too confusing as to what is what but when I do I highlight a theme and click the load button and then the apply button. Works every time One woman's opinion!
There are plenty of companies that have help service. Most ISP have help and computer companies. I worked a help desk at a chat server until the bust took out the server. True to the point, static A past poll was done and simple skins were most popular. My PC is 3 yrs old, 433 mhz celeron processor, with 191mg of ram. When windows and everything loads I have about 30mg of memory left. If a skin loads without a warning that I am out of memory then it will load on anyone's machine ok. I asked this question once before and got no answer but a run around. It doesn't matter to me about ratings but appreciation is what matters. Has Wincustomize become a site for only a few authors? I have noticed there is favoritism not because of the skins but because of the author. Some 10 rated skins have many errors but were created by a certain authors. Look closer at the 10 rated skins and you will find many errors and lazy graphics. Lazy graphic? Gateway has a program they have been putting on their PCs forever, called GO BACK. The new windows XP has taken that technology and incorporated it into the new windows with a new name, RESTORE. The only dumb questions are the ones that are not asked. Roll up does what it says. It moves the bottom frame up to the top frame so all that is showing is the top frame.
When windowblinds loads a skin it reads the code of that skin and changes the values in the registry.. If you want to make a permanent change to a skin you will have to change the color code of the skin using SkinStudio or by opening up the UIS file with notepad and finding the value and changing that. IF a UIS file is open in notepad it shows that SkinStudio adds the code as the parts are added. All over the place. If all the button codes and colors, etc. are grouped together, will a skin load faster?
If it is the font set on a person's PC does that mean that Arial needs to be installed by windowblinds? If it is does that mean that it will show Arial and not the PC's default font?
I hate to start a new thread just for one stupid question, however, What is the default Windowblinds font. Is it Arial or is the Windowblinds default font what is set on a person's PC as the default font.
