I'm not sure whether to link this to MM, but I haven't observed this behavior before installing. On Windows 8 mail app, reading new messages does not clear the last message update on the live tile. For instance on boot-up I get 3 new messages from more than one email account. I open the app and read them, but the live tile does not update those messages as read. This has happened twice now.

Yeah, have to agree with the others. Closed should mean closed should mean closed. I don't expect to access the modernUI task list and see them there as I treat it exactly like the taskbar: apps there are "open" and truly closed would mean that they are not there.
As the subject says, it would be nice to zoom out some and have smaller tiles when I'm using tall, small, large, wide options. I've no idea how the program renders the start screen and whether this is feasible. For all I know the program could be reporting a resolution 2/3 of the real resolution when making a call for the start screen to display.
The newest version supports going directly to desktop. You have to select Desktop in the configuration and then click advanced to find the option for this.
Currently you can right-click the start icon and select shutdown to bring up a login/power menu.
This would be very welcome, but only if it works as expected. Limited functionality would be worse than absence.
Hi guys. It looks like you're making good another unfilled need in the Win8 world. Looking good. May I ask what you anticipate the scope of the program to be? For instance it would be really cool if this became an all-encompassing Start Screen customization tool that includes custom tiles as well as arranging all the surrounding stuff. Or would you plan to break that functionality into a new program or simply not address it (I do hope you do)? Bedwyr
It might be out of scope for the program, but it would be nice if Metro apps exited straight to desktop. Currently they go to start screen and you have to click desktop or use a hot spot to get back. A minor irritant if you're trying to reproduce a Win7 experience for all applications.
Thanks. If it's not confidential may I ask out of curiosity what would cause that?
After trying several combinations it appears that attempting to pin the pinballFX app to the start menu will replace the weather app and vice versa. No other combination of metro or desktop apps tried so far does this.
I have to agree. Information->ammunition and all that.
Many spells have a casting time. Meaning they don't trigger immediatly and you have to wait a number of action equal to their casting time before they do. I suspect that is what you are seeing here.
As Novelty says, that probably isn't what I'm seeing because a character actually working on a spell is not selectable. I can select and re-cast in my case. So I'm thinking there's
The other spell besides nature's ally was the shadow warg summoning spell. I have only tried summoning other creatures such as elementals on rare occasions and not had trouble with them.
Often on summoning a creature during the first round, the spell will not actually take place and the spell will only trigger if cast a second time. If this is intended behavior, there is no feedback regarding cause (enemy effect, miscast, etc).
It is possible to build on dragon and ophidian lairs even when prohibited for kingdom faction and the "build" button is greyed out.
Firedart appears to come from a random direction rather than emanating from the caster more than half the time.
It's really hard to tell what needs to be changed (I'm not an audio engineer), but it's either the music level or the sound effects themselves that give me the impression that I'm fighting while having my ears stuffed with cotton. I think it's the latter. This has been true since E:WoM and is an unfortunate detriment to the game. Example: Whereas casting, IIRC, Slow played a magical sound effect, Haste played no sound effect. Other effects seem to have that same is
Frogboy, you talk a lot about AI regarding games and all the work you've done tweaking it for turn-based methods. When you talk about AI, is there a particular discipline you work with or that appeals to you when dealing with decision making? My background: I've been working for... shoot almost 2 years now on some university unmanned systems research. The algorithm we're working on is primarily deterministic (it's not that complicated actually, just a me
Currently flyouts have to be handled via menu. Something that would be really neat (dare I say, "swell"?) is to integrate it deeper into Object Dock, allowing shortcuts to be dragged to a flyout shortcut, even re-ordered by dragging. If nothing else, maybe a feature suggestion for the next OD revision.
Currently, when dragging a Steam-created link to the dock, it will create an url link to the shortcut instead of the steam app due to the format Steam uses: steam://rungameid/*somegamenumber*, forcing the user to manually edit a link. It seems that is wouldn't be too unreasonable to do something like a regex check for the steam:// format and autmatically and correctly create the link. Cool idea? Not cool?
Third try appeared to get things working.

Your computer manufacturer may have changed it for their custom installation. May I turn 125% support into a feature request? Reasons in favor: 1) 125% is the default setting on Windows 7 (I think) 2) Running Dell 15z, 1920x1080. 100% font is really tiny.
