In my experience, even when skinned mdi buttons are displayed (when frames are non-perpixel), they still don't behave correctly in apps like Excel & Word - the default/normal state is correct but mouseover & pressed states don't display as set in SkinStudio. The 'normal' image remains on mouseover & the 'mouseover' image is displayed when the button is pressed. The 'pressed' image never appears.
I discovered that a long time ago too.
ah, and that raises a couple of questions. so, if I set my per pixel frames and buttons to "none" then I will override the default settings and then I can skin the rebar and mdibuttons, of say excel? Is this also impacted by other perpixel graphics (logoffdialog/shutdowndialog, etc). and, I'm wondering what the advantage of using per pixel frames would be unless one is making a non-standard shaped frame. ( sudden thought, my borders are usually 10 pixel height/wid
wimpy, are you using per pixel frames? If you are, there is no way to get rid of the default classic mdibuttons. The skinned menubar and mdibuttons are not used with per pixel frames. Instead, the classic menubar and mdibuttons are used. Those midi buttons get their color from the classic button face color. In regular frames (not per pixel), you have to use a bmp image. If you are wanting to use a round shape for those buttons, I am thinking you can, but
wimpy, you are limited to using a bmp in XP. But, I don't even use buttons anymore. I just use the glyphs...entails a lot of magic pink, but at least I don't have to look at square buttons. However, if you make per pixel frames, your skinned mdibuttons will not show up. The classic menubar and mdibuttons are used from the classic colors section...so, in that instance, you will have those yucky default buttons. [e digicons]^_^[/e]
Great picks, ID! :D Thanks for the feature!
Cleartype \ Antialiasing does not work in per pixel frames in WB.
I have clear type and anti-alisising enabled with my fonts in both regular and per-pixel frames...and they work fine. nickdc, are you saving the changes in skin studio? If you don't save, your changes will not show up when you re-apply the skin. It sounds like you are using skin studio 6...if you are, I can't tell you all the steps necessary to change fonts. I am still using ve
Congrats all! :CONGRAT: :D
iGoogle, with tabs for Google News and Google Maps. Have a bunch of widgets on my iGoogle home page too.
I was at orientation for a new job. I had just moved to Tampa, FL 2 weeks prior. They sent us home as soon as the word came out about the towers. I spent the next several days glued to the television set...I will never be able to forget...nor should I...
I can't update my desktop screenshot on my personal site either. It says it is uploaded successfully, but the image did not change. Running IE 7. This has been going on since last week.
Congratulations all! :CONGRAT:
I get what vStyler is getting too...on my laptop. It is running IE6...can't install IE7 on that machine. The forums are fine on my pc...running IE7 on it. Is there gonna be a fix, so that folks with IE6 can use the forums?
New Orleans officials seem to have their acts together this time. They brought in tons of busses to evacuate people. The people have a choice of going to Shreeveport by bus, or someplace in Tennessee (I can't remember the name of the city) by train. New Orleans is not going to have shelters this time...and told people that if they refuse to leave, they are on their own...will not have any services. From all reports, the people are listening and getting outa there. And they have ID bands for
Having lived in New Orleans during the "Great Flood" of 1995, I have first hand knowledge of how devastating severe weather is in New Orleans. New Orleans is below sea level....picture a bowl...New Orleans is at the bottom of that bowl. Please keep those folks affected by this monster hurricane in your thoughts and prayers. This hurricane is extremely dangerous...is at 150 miles an hour now, just 6 miles an hour shy of being a Category 5 hurricane.! New Orleans is sl
I use Animation Shop, which comes with Paint Shop Pro, to make my animations. The one thing to remember, regardless of what program you use for your animations, is that they must be saved as .avi files in order to be used with windowblinds.
I don't use screensavers either. I set the screensaver to "none". Blank is still using power...it acts like a screensaver. I also have my monitor set to turn off in 30 minutes.
WOW! What a surprise! I lose my internet commection, get it back, and see this! Thank you so much!!!
Well, I can't use Impulse! I am still running IE 6 on one of my computers (laptop)...I tried IE 7 on it, and it crashed everything. So, for my sake, I hope SDC stays around for a long while. I have not tried Impulse on my desktop yet....am used to SDC and will probably continue to use it as long as it ia available. I do not download any games, so that is not an issue for me.

Of the programs you listed, I use Right Click and Skin Studio....I make blinds, so I have the Professional version. I also use Icon Developer for re-coloring icon packages. I don't use any of the other stuff.
I don't maximize Photoshop either....I just have the edges dragged to where it looks like it is maximized. And I have it skinned as well...works for me. Interestingly though, I can run Paint Shop Pro maximized without any problems...go figure! I think it is something with Photoshop, since I can run every other program maximized without problems.
Thanks wulfin for featuring my blind! And, it sure changes the look of it re-colored as you have it...like it a lot! I knew my blinds re-color well, but never figured this could be done to it! Great setups on all features! :)
That really sucks! I will really miss that site and all the neat folks over there. :SNIFF!:
