"Your skin has failed to upload. When uploading a new skin, your Skin file must also be submitted."
I am at my wits end! I have been trying to upload a blind all afternoon. I have tried for a total of about 5 times now...always get that same error as above. The first time I tried to upload, I discovered I had Flash Player 10 on my system, so I uninstalled it via Adobe's uninstaller/cleaner, rebooted, and installed flash player 9 and reboo

Does anyone out there know how to fix this? I have spent the past three days trying to get the dang thing to look right! I do know that the buttons are the quick launch buttons, but I have no clue where the text settings are coming from....certainly not from the quicklaunch buttons! HELP!

Cyndie, this is really looking fantastic! I just picked up on something, though. The text on your taskbar buttons needs to come down a pixel or two, so that it is centered vertically in the button. My opinion....I am a real stckler about things lining up right in my blinds...lol.

I have run into another glitch skinning parts of Windows 7--specifically, the taskbar. My taskbar buttons on the left align right...the way I want them. But, when I add a toolbar to the taskbar, I have problems. As you can see in the image, the text is clipped, and the button for it is not centered vertically. This happens no matter which size icons I am using on the taskbar. Questions: What buttons are being used for the toolbar on the taskbar...the best

You can change the fonts of individual parts of the skin through Windowblinds 7. There is a tab called fonts in the config window and there is a slider there to increase or decrease the font size, but that will change the font size of the whole skin. In order to change the font size of just the taskbar, etc., you will need to do that through Skin Studio.

Auslogics Disk Defrag...much faster than the built-in Windows defrag. And, it is free! CDBurnerXP...burns CD's and DVD's...gets the job done...and, it is free! Microsoft Security Essentials....doesn't hog system resources, and it is free!

That mousover...is that button looking thing on it part of the mousover? If it is, it may be part of the problem. You need to have the right text margin of the mouseover at 0-2 pixels as well. Also, make sure your programs panel itself is wide enough...I usually make mine around 230-250 px wide.

It's that little information popup area over the tray expander.
Thanks for clearing up the tooltip question! I wish I knew that
Some of these things don't necessarily "need" to be skinned.
I agree, and for the most part, the stuff I listed as needing skinned, was what I skinned, cause they looked like crap when using my Vista skin on Windows 7. The only reason I didn't skin the Show Desktop Button, is because my blind has an offset, rounded taskbar, and I wanted to keep it that way. If I had a "regular" taskbar, I would have skinned that. Oh, and Kitty....I couldn't figure o

Hey Kitty....I just did my first Windows 7 skin...not too bad, if you already have a Vista version of the blind! If you do, there is not a ton of stuff you HAVE to do...there is optional stuff also, that are not necessary. I'll list the "must skin" stuff here: To start off, IE 8 is NOT skinnable yet, and the Favorites Menu won't skin either, even if you have an image for it. I'm hoping those get fixed soon! What needs to be skinned: Cont
I think you can just save the skin as a different name and just delete the other styles on it. Saving it with a new name will at least preserve your original one if it does not work like I think it will.
Okay, I'll try that...and post back here....thanks!

This may be a dumb question, but here goes: I just made a Windows 7 version of my Christmas blind, adding it as a substyle. But, what I want to do is have it a separate blind by itself. I remember in SKS 5 that you could do that. But, I don't see anywhere in SKS 7 where I can do that. Is this possible? The version of the blind that has the uis is the XP version. Both Vista and Windows 7 are sss. I sure hope this can be done! Thanks..
