I also think that he's jumping too fast, not because you're not worth it, but because... it's too fast. Maybe you should express your reservations to him, tell him that you want to stay in touch and continue your conversations, but that you're not sure that you're ready for a committed relationship with him. I doubt that you've done anything to convince him that you're already going steady or engaged or anything like that, so if he jumps on t

I forget what it was that I was searching for when I found this blog site. Maybe it was a search for information about the remaining two captured soldiers. I found a bit of that information on the blog (without much commentary or opinion associated with that post), b
Some of you may have gotten the wrong impression. I did not get kicked out, I did make it through the full hour, plus, of proceedings, but I did not get the nod to make me NCO of the Quarter. That was the reference to the visit... if I were to continue on to compete for NCO of the Quarter for my Brigade, I would have to go to Brigade Headquarters (conveniently located near two of my favorite people in the world). Ah, well. Maybe next quart
I want to do a full write up at some point, but I'm going to be pretty busy for awhile with a visit from my parents. However: 1) I did not get kicked out, I did the full hour of the board and 2) I will not be visiting you two in Sierra Vista any time soon.
I knew I was going to this almost three months ago, since I insisted after the last one (that I was thrown out of) that I wanted to go back. (They're quarterly, so that's about three months.) But I slacked, so while I'm better prepared than last time (primary goal: don't get thrown out; secondary goal: have the CSM call me by my actual name), I'm not as prepared as
Holy crap! I love both of those places from when you took me there. Heck, I even dragged a couple friends to the BBQ joint. We all noticed the crap service and the great food; actually, many of the criticisms you've leveled at these establishments were apparent on just those one or two visits. Terrible waste, really.
I get all the email from the Air Force at work, so I was able to follow along with this. Several days ago, a local (National Guard?) soldier's house burnt down. His family was safe, but his belongings were almost entirely destroyed. There was a call for clothing and emergency household items (they had put his family in base housing on short notice), and I got to he
I guess it just hits me this time of year, or maybe it's because the boys are around. They remind me of their mother and how I don't have someone any more. I guess there's probably more to it than that, but I can't fight through the haze I always seem to be in lately. I'm a high stress guy anyway, and it seems like I'm piling it on myself lately. Color Gua
Do you have your boys for the entire summer? 2 weeks down, 4 to go. My parents are coming out this week from VA. Busy week this week, but taking leave for 4/5 of next week. (Gotta burn up that use/lose leave.)
There's a slightly older boy in my sons' daycare on base that has a mohawk. When I saw him, I thought of you guys. Hope you're having a great summer.
You should have brought the boys out to the lake when you got back, there were quite a few kids out there and the food was quite good. Holy crap! I'm embarassed... I forgot all about it! Honestly, though, I was so dehydrated after the fact, we (the NCOs) were all delirious for the drive home. Took a
Today, myself and three other volunteer NonCommissioned Officers of my Battalion headed out early to Menard, TX to participate in the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the San Saba de Santa Cruz mission. This historic site has had its location recently confirmed and archaeologists and Texas historians will be doing further research into the dig. We were to s
While official reports seem to be overall favorable towards the idea (and of course it's very "hip" to conserve water now, isn't it?), I can only speak to my personal experiences in this matter. No flush urinals stink. I'm certainly not the only one that thinks so: reference <a href="http://media.www.dailyiowan.com/media/storage/paper599/news/2007/05
Let's hope that some kindly soul took him in and decided to keep him for themselves. chihuahas are a popular breed so it's highly likely. That's what I tell myself. It's more comforting to think that than the obvious alternative: some bird swooped down and had a snack. I mean, he's a 5lb tooth
So, I'm still not observing strict dietary science right now. My PT has suffered... and it's due to my own slackening willpower and lack of planning. Blaming my kids' visit is convenient but not entirely honest. Having said that, I'm still trying to keep my calories under control (without logging anything, which is really just guess work). I'm trying to be
(the puppies were cute, though, no?) Yes. Tiberius is long gone; he "ran away" last summer while I had the boys. In actuality, I do believe he ran away as he had a tendency to tunnel out from under the fence in the back yard if unattended too long. It's just a matter of how long he was unatte
Welcome back to the fold. Blog well.
In Sean's defense, his information is accurate... as it was reported early yesterday and the night before. Since then (yesterday afternoon and this morning), there have been numerous reports like the one that you'd cited above, including denials from both Turkish and Iraqi government officials that Turkish forces had crossed the borders. So... nearly 48 hours ago, Sean was right, at least in some respects. Not so much now.
I have no actual preference for a dog breed (although I would choose an inexpensive dog if I could). And while we are technically allowed to have a dog in our apartment (if I paid the $500 pet deposit), I still don't think it's a great idea. When the boys are here, we're away from the apartment for nearly 1/2 the day and when they aren't I'm in at work for much longer hours. It just doesn't seem fair to any pup to not give them more attention
The older boy is fixated upon Scooby Doo. I mean, the younger one is as well, but not to the extent that the older one has honed in on it. Both of them have SD underpants, we have two Scooby Doo video games and they enjoy my Scooby impressions. He also wants a puppy. Every time he mentions how much he wants one, he immediately amends it with, "But w
actually, i took out this part from the other article, as it ws so long with it in there and made a seperate entry...and created the link. What link? I see no link. Also, I had been wondering where this article's text came from; even if you have transcribed it yourself, attributing the source would be a good idea.
So, did they vomit on you yet? I'm thinking we were all just tired. They had no major symptoms throughout the day yesterday and they were fine today. So, I guess we just got an excused day off. No big.
In a sadly unsurprising twist, the Islamic State of Iraq has posted a video on one of its websites that claims that they had held the two missing US soldiers (SPC Alex R. Jimenez, 25, and PVT Byron W. Fouty, 19) held prisoner and decided to execute them. The video posted reportedly contained images of the soldiers' military identification cards. While some
then you shouldn't sing it. That's like saying you shouldn't ever sing "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" because you don't believe in being a serial killer, or you should never sing "Purple Haze" because you don't believe in doing drugs. "Purple Haze" is a killer song. Period. I don't participate in any drug use, but I'll still blast that song out of my car. Alright, but that's not what was being discussed.
We've gotten a lot of playing time out of Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. It is so far superior to the first LSW that we were able to rent LSW1 and play through all the story bits in one weekend. But LSW2 is much more robust. In an advertisement for LSW2, the narrator spoke of playing your favorite characters from the OT: "Luke Skywalker, Han Solo,
