I once caught my little one's baby-belly-fat in the zipper of a sleeper...Holy buckets did I cry! That was 10 years ago and I still zip things up with my finger inside the zipper betweeen the skin and the teeth. And I still cringe and feel bad about it.

While I like to spoon, I sleep so good sprawled over him. Him laying on his back and my head on his chest. We usually rotate from the to spooning then back to that throughout the night.

It's not just the smell, but animals can do property damage. I had a cat once take up a corner of brand new carpet. Also, if it's a rental, the landlord has to consider that the next tenants may be allergic to cats. No matter how well you clean, it's almost impossible to remove all traces of cat hair. I love cats and dearly wish I could have one in my apartment. I'll just have to wait til I get my own house again. Good luck in finding s

Just cleaning up and archiving the old stuff. I've been here at Joeuser for a little over a year and like the idea of a clean start. None of my stuff is gone, just put away. I've been writing less and actually commenting a bit more than usual, maybe once a week even! :) Work's been busy, personal life's been busy, kids have been busy. Trying to capture

I try to teach my children to be good not because they are afraid of the consequences of not being good (specifically religious consequences) but because it's the right thing to be. What is right? How do we know what's right? We know, we do...deep deep down, YOU know what's right and what's wrong. I believe this. I also believe that humans can only survive as a species when they cooperate, and so being good then becomes a biological impe

--"I think you should have split it into 2 stories."-- No way, I like a blog with substance. And you write in a conversational style that kept me reading all the way through to the end. Great job! Great story too! I'll be back for more.

Wow, I'm the first to say I prefer the heat? I really do. It seems like once I get cold, I stay cold til Spring. I'm definately living in the wrong state to not appreciate winter: Minnesota. (Did I mention that I swell up from mosquito bites too? Too bad moving's not an option....Go Vikings!)

Trite, Moot, Unoriginal. I am so terrified of being these terms that I dismiss out of hand those experiences that might fall into those categories. And in doing so I am missing out on life. But I am coming to realize that just because these things have been done before, and in fact the t-shirts are sold out, I haven’t done them. Yes, trite, moot, unoriginal, but n

never stopped to consider the trust involved that the passenger has. Trust is a big deal to me, I don't give it lightly. This is a physical exercise for me that extends to the mental aspect of our relationship. It is actually quite amazing.

My life has been just one big huge emotionally charged ball of combustible material lately. Seems like everyone I'm even a little close to gets burned by it and ends up running from me as fast as they can. Sometimes I wonder if I need to suit up in asbestos outfit and resign myself to being alone for a period while I wait for my heart to settle down. Easy enough to

Recently I’ve been spending some time on the back of a motorcycle, just riding. I never understood before what it meant to go for a ride, I mean, why ride if there’s no destination? Ah, now I know. Now I know. Each ride is like a therapy session, only a hell of a lot cheaper, even with gas prices being what they are these days. Each mile is a test of tr

For supper last night we had hotdogs, baked beans, and potato chips. My little guy (my son, 2 years old) watched me as I scooped up some beans onto a chip and ate it. “Don’t, Mommy.” “Don’t?” I asked him. “But honey, it’s nummy!” “Don’t put beans on your chips, Mommy,” he stated. “But it’s soooo nummmmmy,” I teased him.<BR
