Religion belongs in the past. I am sorry, but it has no place in society today, and it is nothing but a tool of frightening the masses into conformity. Religion may have stabilize

You first have to get the picture up on the web somewhere else. Joeuser doesn't host them. I have some webspace through my ISP. I used to actually have a whole webpage, but I don't that anymore. Too much work to maintain. Now I just upload my pictures to my ISP's server (think of it as their computer that is accessible by everyone on the www). For example, you can find this picture at http://villa.lakes.net/christine156/Flowers.jpg <a href="http:

Honestly? I believe this is it. This is what we get. There's no divine guidance and no one to hold responsible for the things that happen. It just is. We have to be good people now because we don't get a second chance.

And for my 50th article (I can't believe it!!) I present a recent retelling of a true story that should start, "No shit, there I was hipdeep in glass...." [xtine] I sat on my coffeetable once... [SnowNOMSG] well our coffee table is actually a TV stand [xtine] it was made of glass see... [Elladan] Those things are dangerou

You were lucky to be witness to his discovery. Yes I was. I was in the right place at the right time and paying attention.

I wanted to write a feel-good article because the past couple ones have been about blah and giving up. I saw a title of another article referencing St Louis, and for reasons known only to myself, St Louis is a good thing. Even though the last time I was there it was a very bad thing, very very bad. Funny how the years can change things. I try to think

He doesn’t notice when she tries to talk. Constantly interrupting or talking over her. Maybe he doesn’t think she could possibly have anything of value to add to the conversation. No one else in the group notices either. If she speaks louder, they’ll blink at her in surprise. But they won’t hear. When she walks away, her space is quickly and unconsciously filled

My last article, Burnt Out to Blah , was brought on by an email that I sent off to a career advisor that I met with a month ago. After that meeting I felt so optimistic and ready to make some tough decisions. More of the same at work and i

I've only ever been to one funeral. It was pretty emotional for me. When out in D.C. a couple years back, I visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and observed the Changing of the Guard. Maybe there was another ceremony going on as well, like a Wreath Laying, but they played Taps and I cried like a baby. Huge heaving sobs. I was SO embarrassed. So your funeral detail is over. I'm sure you did well.

My birthday is the eighth, but thank you anyways. My boss continually ASKS for help becoming a better boss. That's what I mean by new-age hippie. He's reading books and attending dale carnegie stuff and he comes back and tries out different approaches, always falling back into inconsistency. Overall, he's a flake that rarely follows through on his promises without constant "

I hate to have compartmentalize my drive though. I spend eight hours, five days a week, at work. Not an hour more. I'd really like to enjoy my work. To feel a sense of loyalty and commitment to something that is a major part of my life. I think my expectations are too high.

My boss has been talking about doing an review with me for probably the past month. He's been reading a book, something along the lines of "How to Write Performance Reviews." At an office meeting this week he said that he's going to review everybody in the office. And he's going to have everyone review themselves. AND he's going to have everyone review everyone el

Have you ever ... 1/ Been arrested ? Nope! 2/ Punched anyone ? Yup. 1-a kid who was teasing my brother. Hey, I gave him fair warning. 2-a kid in 7th grade. He'd been harrassing me and finally I clocked him. 3/ 'Lost it' in public ? Oh yeah. While dating my hubby-to-be left me at one bar and went off with the guys to another bar. I bummed a ride from a girlfriend and let him have it when I fo

Average hours women sleep at night: 7 8+. I like my sleep! I usually go to bed around ten, and up again at six. Although, I'm up only enough to get my daughter up & moving and I get to snooze again from 6ish to 6:45, then see her to the bus, then snoozing again from then to around 8ish. That's when my son starts moving and I have to be work by nine. Average bra si
