If sins makes its campaign a "metaverse" Like what crusader suggested that would be awesome. A metaverse would be cool. That would get awfully boring, the game already gets awfully boring Great, it would be an "overgame" that consisted of the results from hundreds, if not thousands, of individual "mini-games". Think of it this way: each game we play now would be an individual battle in the large

If the "active" program has been alt-tabbed to the background. Yes it will. Then it wouldn't be starting over the active program (By active, read what I meant as "full screen and therefore takes "control" of the monitor from the OS").

hehe i love the fatboy Same here -- fatboy is the reason I play UEF instead of Aeon. Well, that and the fact that UEF shields upgrade and (while weaker than Aeon) have a larger radius so are just a little more effective at a layered defense... I just love watching my super-artillery unit bombard the junk out of anyone stupid enough to approach my defenses... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/BigSmile.gif" border=0 align="abs

but it would add a little realism and strategy if the ships had to move around the planet to fully eliminate the population and infrastructure. Except the planet moves the cities to you !

I never said that. Oh? I'd hate to have to dig it up, but I remember several times you complaining about how the icons take away the pretty graphics. I mean, there is little tactics involved in having such large masses of units, its just grinding away at this or that, sending these units here and having them die and never worrying about what the tactical consequence is because the economy of that game is meant to be

or even better being able to tell the crew what to do, such as move and reinforce a certin part of the ship, but that would be a pain in the butt if your running a whole battle at the same time so you could have preferences on what you would like to protect and allocate a percentage of the crew to protect certin parts of the ship and have AI run it for you Your starting to get way to complex there.

What a clever misinterpretation of what I said. No, more like a rebuttal to what you've said in several threads But, I could see that a nuke wouldnt necessarily criple your economy. Since if you assigned enough bots to it it would finish quickly and your economy would usually rebound even faster. Nope. If you

:\documents and settings\your name\application data\ironclad games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Saved Game\ You'll find all your saves there. In my case (and most) it'd be the C:\ drive to look at, but it will vary on some computers.

You didn't really play supcom long in multyplayer, did you? I don't think he played it after he discovered that the zoom feature reduced unintelligible dots to nice, clear, easily understood icons.

Yes, yes, I know it actually balances the nuke feature. And the T3 arty feature... and the T4 superbots... I relised that each faction was almost completly the same, and that the only big differance was the experimental units and extra or missing units. Um, no... Take artillery, for example: Aeon have really accurate, low splash damage arty. Cybran artillery on the other hand, couldn't hit the broad

BTW: Rail Gun is just another term for Gauss Gun, they both use the same technology (at least in the real world). I believe Gauss Guns are, technically, a coilgun, not a railgun. The rail gun uses a totally different principle from the coilgun gun. Coilguns (AKA gauss guns) utilize coils that conduct electricity to generate a magnetic field that moves a projectile. Railguns are two rails that conduct electricity across a (free to move) br

Would be nice to see more options for the tactical AI. Or at least an AI that can "read" fleet composition and recognize (for example) the presence of LRM frigates and just stay out of gauss cannon range when they're present in reasonable numbers. (Or if bombers are present in reasonable numbers, too)

Um... your saves are only 50ish MBs?! Did you drop a zero in there or something... mine usually ramp up to anywhere from half to a full gig once my game gets going O.o

or any balanced game in my opinion. Then you should really try and play Supreme Commander. I know you have an irrational distaste of the game, but it does a really good job.

Thats something I never considered -- I've seen it in game when you order units to join a fleet as a waypoint, but using it in that way... nice. Question: Will they automaticly jump with the rest of the fleet that they're following even if they aren't selected in the jump process, or are they going to jump in behind the fleet (making me manually re-do the follow command after every jump).

That could do it, then. What are your system specs, anyway? 4600+ 8800GTX 2GB DDR2 533 I doubt you need my HD or DVD specs, but if ya need more ask... I'll go ahead and dig it up.

In another year or so, PCs will be out so that SUPCOM will never lag! I sincerely doubt that. SupCom, much like TA, can be stretched in many ways not readily available in the default setup. You can go up to 10K units (proven using current hardware) with a theoretical cap of 50K, even in the unmodded engine (after you unlock the prerequisite settings). With 50K units all flying around, any modern commercial hardware will die.
