What are the low times and high times of site traffic? & What days have the most and least traffic? also What are the low times and high times of skin submissions? & What days have the most and least submissions? I'm asking so I know when peak hours are and thus can avoid them. It was not fun taking close to an hour to upload a sub 1mb logon a couple days back. <img src="http://images.stardoc
Aqua.
Ok, I think Ty has been beat upon enough Now if he'd only return and clarify.
I recently tried to reduce the filesize of my RedRew-Cru skin by reducing the colors to the minimum bit depth necessary to display all the colors in the images. When I was finished I had shaved 4mb off of the file size and in the image editor everything looked exactly the same. However, when I reloaded the skin with the new images the entire desktop environment went dead black. Fortunately, I've memorized how to access every relevant part of Windows and was able to restore the
and no, I won't start a new thread just to bash your opinion either (today at least ) You know my position, I know yours... until next time <img src=
Jafo! tsk! You double posted I'll agree to a peace on the gun issue within this thread.
Thanks, got your email
PS I didn't know about the "DRAFT" background on the page as I have background images disabled.
three_4me explained my exact reasons for calling it Mozilla lite. As for the 0.4, I posted the news before I noticed that for some odd reason the page was up but the download wasn't.
Ok, 10pm and only 2 more days in the month and still no newsletter. What's the holdup?
I use trillian and dumped my ICQ account when I started getting spammed hourly. As for beatnik, never used it, nor sysmetrix.
Um, just what thing are you referring to? (Describe) And whose desktop are you referring to?
I agree with Tarkus. Mozilla's nice but still has a way to go. I'll stick to Netcaptor: 1. All new windows upon up as new tabs. None of this goofy Javascript stuff that launches an entirely new window. 2. User-specified aliases. I type "wcm" in the address bar and it takes me to the wincustomize message board page. I type "au" to go to art uproar. I type "da" to to go dev art and so on. Mozilla has some vaguely similar mechanism but its not a personal, customizable system. Its
Ok, it does look like a nice site, I especially like the bottom bar. I'll enjoy seeing what you come up with
armonia, great work BTW, could you do some stats on when skins are submitted? Time of day, day of week, that kind of stuff.
*bows*
Well, perhaps I think of her because those 2 walls were so memorable.
Ok, I didn't know about him (or at least remember). I just remember a couple of admins telling me in no uncertain terms that I could forget about doing photographic walls as they almost never were accepted.
Something you might want to try is making your wallpapers into logons (using LogonStudio) and submitting then, logon standards are much more lax than plain jane wallpapers.
Another thing, don't bother with photographic wallpapers, I think LadyWolf is the only person who manages to get those up, everyone else's are rejected.
Everyone gets frustrated when one is not accepted, I think his complaint is that they're almost never accepted for him.
Do you have a website of your own that you could post one to for me to look at? Alternative, send one to me at [email protected] and while I'm not an admin, I think I'm getting a pretty good feel for their reasons. Of course, Jafo (an admin) will probably answer this thread within an hour or so, he seems to be active now. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 AL
Guess I'd better do this before Jafo does * victim not victem
Believe me, I don't want this place to be a completely unmoderated deviantArt type place.
I'm glad you check the new postings, it's the updated stuff I would like automated.
