I use WinAmp 2.x for my audio and WinAmp 3.x for my video. However, you WILL want to get some audio fiters (like DFX) which will dramatically increase the audio quality at playtime. The only thing I ever use WMP for is converting my MP3s into unsecured WMAs which compresses the filesize to 50% original while not audibly losing quality.

Grrr, and it's a brand new skin. Could you move it to the new section to me?
Heck with a unified theme, that's for the web interface, for the software I want pure speed. As for all those cool emoticons, I did those with text for close to a decade before anyone started substituting them with graphics.
Ok I'll be up in a few minutes. I'm going to create a brand new wba file just to make sure the problem isn't on my end. BTW, will the skin appear in the news skins or the updated skins area?
A way to speed it up: I noticed that the message viewer in the WC Browser basically loads the message inside of a web page. It would be quicker to just download the text and have the WC Browser format it. Essentially what I would like is for it to be like how I access newsgroups in Outlook Express. I especially would like being able to do subthreads so as to easily keep track of which posts are in reponse to which other posts.
Ok, the skin was taken down because of the broken link. I'm going to re-up within the next hour or so. Will an admin please approve immediately since it is merely fixing an already approved skin. Sorry about the confusion, I had connection problems yesterday when I initially uploaded the skin, guess it corrupted the file somehow.
Would an admin please settle this question?
Do you have any idea just how easy it is to trash windows with regedit? I've worked tech support before and encouraging people to screw with their registry is one of the worst ideas I've heard in a long time. I don't mean to be harsh, but this has enormous potential for disaster.
While getting skins is definitely faster through the WinCustomize Browser, it's quicker to access the message board through my web browser. Why the difference?
It doesn't automatically go back to 5. What I think is that the old ratings are wiped out and the new rating is whatever the moderator thought of your skin. I wish one of the Wizops would answer this one.
Sally, I had the same problem myself. I had a skin rated 8 that dropped to 5 when I updated. Too bad the rating doesn't carryover like the number of downloads does.
Ok, problem solved. Thanks for your help.
*sigh* I was afraid of that.
Yes, I did have a previous beta version. What you suggest could easily be. What file contains the date? I had uninstalled the beta, but apparently that didn't do anything about the date issue.
definitely
Ok, I just uninstalled the old version, downloaded the new version (just after 10pm EST), and installed the new version. I am still having the same problem. The first time I open it a message pops up saying: "Your evaluation period has ended. To continue using the WinCustomize Browser you must register at: https://www.stardock.com/products/wincustomize/purchase.html"
I downloaded it direct from the site. Nope, I'm a US English user. I'll check out the link and let you know if the update works.
I just downloaded and installed the WinCustomize browser... The first time I opened it it flashed a message saying my evaluation period has ended. What's ^ w/that?
A good idea: In the account area have a section for the message board that lists what threads you have participated in recently and indicates whether or not there are any new replies to that thread since you last checked it. Hmmm, sounds like a subscription inducement to me. PS: Jafo, if you're reading this I tried to buy a subscription yesterday but they couldn't validate my card
I'd update my desktop... if I didn't get an error saying "server timed out" every single time I try.
I must say he has good taste in skins
ROTFL Judge three sure knows good chili when he tastes it!
BoXXi, check out FRESH for animated taskbar buttons. They flash with a gold border on mouseover.
