I haven't used the separate WC Browser since it was first intergrated into SDC. However its well worth it by itself if you don't currently subscribe to ODNT. I hope the integration into SDC fixes a minor bug. Newer sections don't appear with an icon, nor are they selectable from the libraries list, such as Firefox and Misc. yes SDC is broken for skin libraries, at least updates.

I definitely agree the potential is there now for DX to finally reach more people. I'm still so use to have things like objects and widgets easily visible that I have a difficult time trying to use ones that I can make appear with the stroke of a key. You need to install the Windowblinds program and reboot. The download blinds can be then installed by running them if they end in .wba , which they usually are. It is best to install the blinds from an administrator account, and then all accounts can access the blinds. You can select which blind to use by going to Display Properties and clicking on Appearance, or you can launch Windowblinds Config via its Start Menu entry. <a
I got into using skinned programs originally through Winamp. In searching for skins for it I ended up finding skinz.org. Poking through that site at various times to check out other programs that one could skin I found Windowblinds. I can't recall if it was before skinz.org went down or after, but either way the appearance of Wincustomize helped secure a home for me for totally re-vamping the boring Windows look. <a href="../resource
lol that is a funny one. Seems a strange comment as well that they are going to a shell program after using Windowblinds which is not a shell at all. Its hard to take many con comments seriously. Either they have no idea what they are talking about or are simply grasping at straws to find something negative because they dislike Stardock. Some freeware does seem to maintain itself longer than usual such as Irfanview and mIRC (though technically donationware). Overall though Brad is right that while freeware is used by many in the short term, rarely is it a long term solution to software use. Some people just shouldn't be writing lyrics. Some like Elton John know it. He is a brilliant musician, but he admits he can't write lyrics. I think if more lyrics to songs were actually read, rather than just heard, you'd find all sorts of either hidden or zero meanings in them. Some of my favorite songs have lyrics that really don't make a bit of sense to me.
I'm about to buy a new computer, so will be keeping those specs in mind. I usually try to get a new OS when its released, at least if its worth the update. XP was definitely worth the update from 98 when I got it. Time will tell if Longhorn will be as good as its being touted.

I remember a little program once that could change display settings via a system tray menu, but none of the other things mentioned, not that I personally have need for them anyway. Not Windowblinds though at all.
My Object Desktop subscription is up soon and I plan on updating it, even though money is tight. It is well worth it if you enjoy having a desktop that varies with your mood or you enjoy the enhancements OD brings. For some the Wincustomize subscription is worth it as well. I use Yahoo v6 sometimes and I don't see WB skinning it at all. I haven't clicked on any links though.
You didn't mention if its the trail version or the full purchased version of WB. Also most themes are downloaded with the extension .wba . You can install the skin by choosing "install skin from disk" when in WB config. If it is in a zip, hopefully the .wba file is inside. It does seem though that either way you got it in the right location and its showing in WB config. However I'm not sure why it isn't skinning totally. Perhaps you need
I like the ratings and it is nice to have an explaination here for those who don't always understand them. However I liken it to American Idol in a way. I'm wondering why it is still labeled beta at version 1.0? Seems like a full-fledged release by all indications. At least it shows up as beta still in SDC.
