Personally I don't like hockey anyway so am not missing it. However for those who enjoy it, this season is a big blow to the NHL. To me it seemed to increasing in popularity year by year and then they go and do this? Why do people have to be so freaking greedy over money. Sure its nice to have and important to have, but can't they think of the fans? What is the difference between making $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 a year? Heck I'd take a million an

The new Dodge Charger is gonna turn some heads as well, though don't think it is coming out til later in the year.

This isn't a thread to discuss the merits of IE or Firefox, it referred to the skins being available and pointing a user towards giving FF a try. Clearly it is a browser many find useful, but as with anything it isn't for anyone. If IE suits you fine, then stick with it. There are just many of us who find FF to deliver the best browser experience based on overall usage, not just one or two points of contention. <a href="../resourc

I have had no issues either with FF and Windowblinds. I have used several different FF skins with no issues as well as used FF with different WB skins. Definitely might be an issue with the Mac OSX skin, or perhaps there is an FF extension that you are using that is interfering in some way. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via WinCustomize Browser/Stardock Cen

I admit I don't frequent the "walls" but I didn't think actual full frontal nudity was ever on display here. However as with most things on the internet I believe parents should be involved and help guide their children where it is safe for them to go. If you ever take your children to see an art museum you'd see quite a lot of display of frontal nudity in statues and pictures for example. So those are ok and walls are not? Some might find

Being a non-smoker, my problem with smokers is that overall most don't seem to show that they care about those who don't wish to be around the smoke. Its this lack of respect that bothers me. Go ahead and smoke if you wish to ingest something unnatural, just keep it away from me. It is the only addiction that directly affects others besides the user. It is difficult I understand when it comes to public places. Who should "win". However it isn'

As much as I have a distaste for smoking and having to be around it, I would have to disagree with this companies methods. I can see stopping smoking at the workplace, but what an employee does in their own time should be their business. There are jobs that would be an exception here, but overall work time and free time should be separate. I do wish more states would impose restrictions on smoking. I currently live in Ohio, but I came from Massa

My main interest in keeping the Firefox skin section visible is because I enjoy how WC has things setup. Its one of the great weaknesses with the mozilla update site. The skins are poorly displayed. I've also found that the skins don't always download easily from there. However as long the section is still accessible, it won't be a great loss, though less likely to have new updates I guess. <img s

The main reason Firefox won't work in some cases such as Windows Update is usually due to ActiveX, since it isn't supported by FF. Guaranteed there are situations where IE is required, but that is more due to MS making it necessary by implementing their own "standards". Anyway I don't really care about market share, I have always cared about using whatever programs worked for me. I had used programs such as Maxthon prior to my switch to FF. I ju

Personally I don't think a months time on the list is enough, especially considering there wasn't any advanced notice that it was going to appear. Shunting it off to "never neverland" by hiding it is a sure way to kill the section I feel. I definitely feel another month is warranted. Also it would help if the new sections were added to SDC as well. Not that has anything to do with new skins being uploaded, but some of us use that more to keep up

Have seen this already. Plus just read elsewhere that the Xbox2 is supposed to be released later this year. Though it is difficult to believe since that info was only supposed to be from a source in MS. I'm sure there will be some announcement coming at E3 with more info. Not that I personally care about the Xbox lol. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via

Hmm to add something here. You say you can't download themes, yet you say you can download the suites. Just to be clear here, you do need to have Theme Manager on your computer to make use of the suites. Therefore when you run the suite file in Theme Manager it will download the appropriate skins for you, at least the ones you choose to use, and the ones you have the software as well. <img src="http:

I used to use MyIE/Maxthon but have used Firefox exclusively since about version .6 . Its got everything I need. Maxthon to me is too loaded with stuff I don't need. With Firefox I can load those things I'll make use of, plus many things that aren't available for Maxthon (such as weather in the status bar). You can setup groups with Firefox as well using an extension since someone mentioned about Maxthons ability to do that. Understandably Fi

Works great here and a welcome surprise in the OD family. Those who are having trouble reboot. I ran the program first and then rebooted. I'm not sure if that is required, but it is working here. I love the feature to have it set it to show, for example, Thumbnails all the time.

Yay I'm happy to see Firefox skins here. Hopefully that will get people to create more of them, especially since its at version 1.0 as well. The selection is poor at mozilla, not to mention many of them seem to lack screenshots, which is really poor. A minor problem is that we won't be able to get updates to the skins from here like you can when they are posted at mozilla. I don't see that as a big deal though.

I work in a small regional electronics store similar to the one you described. It amazes me though how many people think that stores like Best Buy and CIrcuit City give them the best deals on stuff. Sure sometimes they have good prices, but overall they can't make deals. We can throw things in for free and give the customer a sale even if not on sale. Besides that though we learn about the products we sell. I can't count how often people have c

Thanks for telling me about Rainmeter. Pretty much the only thing I wanted to use DesktopX for was meters, yet there never seem to be any meters made that I like. They are all too big or ugly. So I'm giving Rainmeter a try. As for new sections, I think Trillian or Firefox are certainly in demand. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via WinCustomize Browser/S

I used to create webpages and it really bothered me that I had to test code in more than one browser to see if the code worked everywhere. Certainly it got easier once IE was the most popular browser, however IE also made it necessary to do things MS's way. Using other programs to create your webpages could cause code that IE didn't like. I am glad that Firefox is here. I never did like IE, but for the longest time I had no choice but to use i

Are they really taking up so much space that you need to delete them? I suppose you'd rather not have them in the list, but that seems to be a minor problem as I doubt you change the saver that ofte. I agree with a previous poster though that there is no need for a screensaver. I don't even look at the screen if I'm not using the pc and its better to have the screen off to save energy. It comes on quick enough by moving the mouse or hitting a ke

I just don't find much of interest at those other sites. WC has what I need. And as you mentioned Brad, the other sites mostly tend not to be updated often. If they aren't getting new content often enough it doesn't give anyone much reason to go there.

I think there needs to be better testing done by some WB skinners. In relation to the problem mentioned above about some not skinning toolbars, etc correctly. I'm sure in the skinners setup they look fine, but I have also tried some that just didn't work for me. Perhaps even WB could be made to create a compatibility file or something that states that the skin works best with these certain settings. Sometimes its mentioned with the skin, but more often its not. However that is more for W
