Will a moderator or someone who actualy wrote the code please explain to me why the missile weapon "black hole generator" takes up 11 size on a tiny hull (can put 1 on at top mini tech researched and have room for other stuff) and a 14 size on a huge hull, or is it a larg hull. Anyway it does the same amount of damage and costs the same but takes up more space on a bigger hull. I would really like to know how that makes sense. All other components are basically the same also. The size of the com

Oh by the way. I did buy the expansion to Civ4, "Warlords" And I played it for about 2 hours and then basically said, "That's nice." And ever since then I have been playing Galciv2.

Ok I looked at the table again and this is what I think may be happening. If I am wrong please correct me. 1. So the left column is how much space on the ship is being added (percent wise) as miniturization is being researched. Is that correct? 2. Is the middle and right columns how much space is reduced (percent wise) that the component takes up? Or is it how much space the component gains? (That is what is not making sense to me. 3. Why don't the hull spaces increase

Miniturization ratios (Yor) Cargo Hull, Sensors I, Sensors IV --------------------------------- Base (+25%) | 11.8% | 8.8% +10% | 10.8% | 8.1% +15% | 11.0% (+)| 8.5% (+) +15% | 11.1% (+)| 7.7% +15% | 10.1% | 7.1% +20% | 10.0% | 7.3% (+) So how is going from 7.1% to

I'll post it again here... OK. If I understand right miniaturization does not work like the idea of miniaturization does in real life, correct? It is not a comfort to say “it works like it was designed to” because if something is designed wrong it doesn’t matter if it is doing what it was designed to do because it is doing it wrong. In math if you are off by “1” you might as well be off by a “trillion” because you will always get the wrong answer. I realize the problem is with rounding,

This isn't original, just so you know. I do know. That's why I EXPLAINED how they might work. But just so you know, cloaking was in the original. Now it is not. Because it was not fun. The end. </TAB

You people don't seem to be reading what I posted. I said the battle system would remain the same. It would just be hard or not, (depending on your sensor tech) to see a cloaked fleet comming. Once it engages your fleet it goes directly to a NORMAL battle. " Battle would commence as it does now because they have to uncloak to fight. But the enemy's fleet may not show up on the map until I am suddenly at battle with it. Or if the enemy is suddenly at battle with me."

I have two suggestions that may be useful or not. The first is for a Carrier ship. I would like to be able to build a "carrier" class ship and load it with tiny ships, (that may or may not have interstellar drives) that can be launched from the carrier during battle. If the carrier were to be lost in an attack on the enemy then the tiny "fighters" would be doomed if they didn't have a drive. This would also boost the combat ability of a fleet. A "carrier" ship with the latest drive te

I would think $20 is a good price for an expansion pack. $29.99 is like buying another stand alone game. I might pay that much for a Collector's edition expansion pack.

I disable infulence vitories but I still win easily because all other civs planets come under my control through influence. It just shows a different video on victory even though it really was an influence victory.

Here we go again Everybody jumps on the "lets trash the guy who makes a comment we don't like" bandwagon. And he actually has facts! And yes I know that everyone who worships this game automatically knows everything in the universe about AI and how it works. In a normal forum if people think someone is being an idiot they just ignore them. There is a post from the "bad" party and that's it. Ev

I wan't trying to say the developers aren't involved. The first question was about working on the bugs because that's what I assumed. The rest was just a way of me saying I'd like to know what's going on. I"m sorry for treating you like crap in the past and I ment no disrespect with this post. I was apparently looking at the wrong bug posts or don't recognize a developer's post. I thought all developer's have the word "Avatar" preceding their name. The bug posts I looked at didn't have that from

I didn't pay for the game. I was a beta tester. Stardock said all those who were with Total Gamming.net when it switched to the token way of buying games would get it (Galactic Civilizations 2) for free. I don't get illegal copies of games. I was with stardock when Galactic Civilizations came out. Many people, probably longer. Do you want me to paste the email stardock sent me telling me i'd get GalCiv2 for free?

I didn't have any problems with playing Civ 4 without a patch. There must be something wrong with all those who did. Taking what you people are saying about me to heart. I said it was a good game. I've been playing it for the past 48 hours! How many stupid questions does a fan have to ask to become a heritic? Only 1 at the stardock forums apparently.

I was not attacking stardock. All the posts I've seen so far about bugs havn't had any developers comments. If I'm blind, well then I'm blind. I'm not trying to trash stardock. I said it's a good game. And just because I have experienced bugs and others havn't doesn't mean there is something wrong with me, a "junkslut" as someone called me. If this community is so unsure about themselves that everybody has to jump on the "kill the guy who dares to post what we don't want to see" bandwagon then I

I've seen a lot of bug postings in the bug forum and very little, if any, responses by the developers about them. Is this because you are working on them? Because you're bored and could care less? Because you're on vacation? Because .... ? Yes, this is a good game, but with all the bugs it ruins the replayability. I find myself thinking if I really want to do something, like upgrade a military starbase to have sensors or to aid ships when those modules don't do anything. All the bug

A problem i noticed is when I select the war party to get the increased hitpoints; during the game when I click a fleet I have made the hit points of the fleet that are shown on the left side are more than total actual hitpoints of the ships. When I go into battle i have the lower number of hitpoints, not what I should have. Another problem for me is after playing for a few hours the game will crash to desktop. I have a Gig of Ram so it shouldn't do that. At least that's my opinion.
