yes they do! Around here we have a variety called "buffalo gnats" and they DO bite! Not very often but when they do their bite usually swell up big time. I'd rather have skeeters anyday. (and that's sayin' alot 'cause our skeeters are SO BIG they can stand flat footed and screw turkeys!)
