Hi Jill same thing for weather here in Mn. and I do have sinus issues too! have gone through 5 boxes of tissues this month alone! I wish I could take those over the counter products, doctor won't allow, they interfere with the blood pressure and heart meds. gee, it seems like everytime I turn around here's that "letting go thing" again, you know? that Serenity prayer......it so ooooooo helps me...I think I need a copy of it for the wall in front of my computer.... Sometimes when I'm down I take a "me" day. I swear off of cleaning, cooking, answering the phone, and bury myself in my bedroom with my favourite things....which I"m overdue on writing a new list... some of fave things a

Nothing better than coming home to your own space!! What more could you want? unless it's a dog??? how about a dog? from a shelter and one that's housebroke? it would be there to greeet you, love you, and be a companion. ok, how about a plant? a low maintence plant? like a cactus or even a regular ivy? plants add green, a color for relaxation, cactus included, they come in many colors! Maybe a throw that's g

wow Tova, this guy is totally without a brain, with no regard for human life. Please don't blame yourself. We, as parents, want our kids to have fun, fit in, and do all the things the other kids are doing. I do believe you're a 100% right about listening to that inner voice we all have, and I think that all you did was try to balance your inner voice with your desire to let your child have fun. That DOESN'T mak

Of course! This article of yours is like you turned around and looked right at me. and found the words that dwell in my heart. yep. This is a community, where I've been supported by friends that maybe I'll never meet. People have given me a shoulder to cry on, AND I've been "rapped on the head" so to speak...for getting out of line. Great article doc <

Sorry Dharma to read of you having different kinds of pain to cope with, it's mean when the emotional pain has to be coupled with physical. I do know how bad spine pain is and when it's chronic it does indeed steal the joy of life. If one doesn't or hasn't experienced it it's hard to even begin to imagine it! I'm taking Cymbalta right now for depression ( some of that is caused by pain) and this medicine helps blo

Over at RottenTomatoes, where I have my "other journal", I have a list of my favourite movies. Most of them are musicals, ballets, Ken Burns documentaries, and Walt Disney flicks and his cartoons from the early years. I LOVE "Melody Time" from Disney ! I only go to the movies about 1 or 2 times a year. I have gone a couple times with my disability group and we get in for $5.00 and that includes all the popcorn and pop I can

HO HO HO... boy if Santa could come to my house this Christmas I'd ask him for an easy chair for my living room, now I just watch tv in my room in my bed a car so I could go to the family reunion every year, get to go visit friends, not have to take the bus grocery shopping and a scanner for my computer as I'd love to scan things to my sisters!

oohhhhh for the "good old days" when we'd rake our leaves to the curb, let them burn and watch the smoke curl up the sky as we leaned on our rakes, talking to a neighbor...... I use to love jumping in piles of leaves, throwing them at my sisters, making decorations with the real pretty ones..... I'd really irritate your neighbor....my leaves would stay til spring <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absm

Men and women aren't perfect, we sometimes make poor choices. Thank God, literally, that we are forgiven if we truly repent. With time ( hopefully for all) comes wisdom and with wisdom we make good choices, good for man/womankind and choices that honor God. If one doesn't believe, at the very least a person is making better choices and living a more harmonious life.
