Sorry, I have no idea. But CPU's do get REAL hot nowadays with the speed they cycle at.  I know that I cannot use my laptop on my lap when I'm wearing only short, my thighs start burning after not too long...

Don't forget that sounds, like images, have copyrights. If you are to include sounds that you did not make yourself with your themes, make sure they are public domain, or that you obtain the permission from the author to distribute them. [Message Edited]
croissant, if you disable the Themes service in XP's services, Windowblinds will actually use LESS resources than the default XP skinning engine.
Well, with that method, I would be Lord Cirtap Andreton... Doesn't sound too good. But were I to live in aristocratic France, I'd be Sieur André de la Fontaine. Much better. [Message Edited]
Yes, am not talking about functions, but about the design.
How about this skin: <STRO
Aaah, but remember, Stardock is evil.
FX isn't so much a hog per say, its performance depends a lot on your video card and the drivers for it.  But it doesn't have to be everythig or nothing.  Personnaly, I don't use the minimize/max effects, as my video card probably isn't too great since the animation is slow and choppy. I use FX for the shadow effects, the menu effects, as well as the tile to desktop options. It hardly uses any resource at all with these options.
Why are you confused? You can backup the applications the way you did it, excecpt that the archived applications don't have a setup file. You need to open up Stardock Central and select File / Restore Application in order to install them.  Note that there are new updates for different programs every week or even more. Maintaining a backup CD could be a lot of work to keep it up to date.
You need to restore your backups with Stardock Central.
But note that you don't have to do that, unless you really want to archive the software. It's really not necessary, just keep a copy of Stardock Central and you can always just redownload the applications if you need it. The easiest way to install software is to just click on what you want and then click the Install button. Note that if you already have an older version installed, Stardock Central will show you a Update button instead as it will not download the whole thing again but only the pa

Apoc, what the heck? You named your trash "D:\" or you gave your D Drive a trash icon?
How do I save the software so I can put it on a disk. Is that possible? Click on the software you want to save, and select File/Archive Application/Selected Application Alternatively, you can automatically archive every application you download by clicking the "Auto Archive on Application Update" checkbox at the bottom of the scree
There is nothing wrong with any of those screenshots. I've seen worst on billboard adds, and the street isn't even PG13. I actually like the cartons on the second link in #51 much more to my linking. At least these are adult women, not a Playboy Playmate body on a disformed 10 year old face. But regarding cartoon in general, because something is cartoon does not make it acceptable.  I've seen cartoons of women raped quite graphically. It's not about whether it's live model or a dr
Kaneman, the first link was for a spell checker, because your question is almost unreadable. HG_Eliminator gave you a link to the program you need in order to get the object you want to work.
Styl, your design is all right, but you really need to take a modesty pill. The way you started this thread was basically saying that all the existing skins are boring and looked Photoshopish, while you could do much better in 3D.  The truth is that, while you design is pretty nice, it really is not better than a lot of nice 3ish skins available it doesn't look any less Photoshopish. It may be frustrating that what you probably put a lot of work into, was recreated just as well in
Install the BandVWM software from Stardock Central.  Then right-click on your taskbar and choose "Virtual Desktops" from the toolbars.
To be honest, the girl on the wallpaper does nothing for me. I just don't like animes. I don't know what's supposed to be attractive about HUGE eyes and a tiny tiny mouth. Dunno. I find it just as attractive as if she had a third eye in the middle of her forehead.
Poddytat: if you still need one, email me. My address on my profile.
Pharoe got it correct. You don't need to have Desktop X running in order to use widgets. As Widgets are exe's, you can open and close them individually quite easily. You can also have specific widgets auto-run, you can assign different keyboard shortcuts to toggle the visible/invisible. Etc. Hope things work out for you.
I think you're right though. Mac related wallpapers should definately NOT be allowed here. [Message Edited]
Don't forget that with OD, you get all the software released in the next year.
When did you purchase Windowblinds and Icon Packager (ObjectDock Plus is not part of OD)?  Maybe you can get your purchase for both (40$ together) put towards a purchase of the whole suite (50$) and you would then only have to dish out an extra 10$. Contact sales @ stardock.com. IconX will only improve, Window FX is really cool, you got to try it, and there are more than a dozen other programs in OD. Well worth the extra 10$.
Jafo, I find your attitude towards GMail somewhat similar to people who say that Stardock is evil. Your name and other personal information is not given to the advertisers. The ads are placed there by a software, the advertisers never know on who's email account their ad were displayed. They will only know you if somehow you willingly give it to them (for example if you click on a ad contest link and enter your information in a form). Part of Gmail privacy policy: <FON
