OK, somebody needs to explain to me what Avedesk (or even Desktop X for that matter) does for "Aqua emulation"?

ma3lstr0m: if you have purchased DesktopX 2.0, you get all the updates for free until version 3.0 Just enter your email address on this page: https://www.stardock.com/support.asp and a link to download the latest release will be emailed to you.
Oh but Jafo is like 10 hours ahead in time, so he had plenty of time to beat us.
Here you go: https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=34&SkinID=99 Was simple enough to do. [Message Edited]
Depends what you mean by effects. If your talking whole sceneries, individual objects or abstracts. For example, for my battery DX widget, I used Swift 3D. Inexpensive and extremely easy to use.  But I would only recommend it to model individual objects.
Tombabla, if 3 new themes have been approved since you uploaded yours, it's most likely beause they were uploaded before yours.  For example, at the moment there are 5 DX themes in the queue so if somebody uploaded right now, 5 other themes would get up before it.
I started with BuilderBlinds.
Well, in this particular case I think it went too far. Especially so since I don't understand what AveDesk (while being a nice app) has anything to do with Aqua. It's just widgets. It doesn't make your desktop, your windows or anything look like OSX. OK, so OS 10.3 will have widgets too, but it's even released yet, and it's only a tiny aspect of the Mac OS that most people won't even use or even be aware of. Why place so much emphasis on this?  But anyhow, aside from this
Yep, Windows 2000 or XP only.
You can make your icons semi-transparent with Windows FX, but I think that's Windows XP only too... not sure though.
OK, had a discussion with the admin who did it, and we decided that he probably did the right thing. We can't just let people start reviving old threads. There is already little space for legitimate posts, as they often get pushed off screen by sometimes already a lot of double posts, so maybe it's not a good idea to revive old threads unless there is a really good reason.  It probably doesn't matter if it's just one old thread once in a while, but we can't let this become a habbit.
OK then. Create a new object. In the Properties windows, at the bottom of the General tab, where it says "Additional abilities", click on "Add". Then select the Trash bin plugin. After that, click on the States tab, and browse for your "Full" and "Empty" images in the appropriate states. Click OK. That's it.
Wasn't me or Koasati it seems. I guess you kinda did the right thing since you don't know who deleted the post, and nor do I. A cool thing would be a special board where you could post something only for admin eyes, and where you could only see your own posts along with admin replies... if that makes sense.
You an also go on the game's official web site, there are a few WPs you can download: http://www.pn03.co.uk/
Take a screenshot and upload it as your desktop picture in the Upload / Edit your desktop image page.
But it's true though that his original post had two parts, the weather docklet and the object with links to some French sites.  Maybe Thechinician you can tell us what particular theme you are using and maybe we could tell you how to change those links to the ones you want.
Guys, you can stop with the suggestions, I'm sure his problem is solved. His problem was that the tooltip said to click on the city name to change the location but when he was writting "Toronto, Canada" it wasn't working. The solution to this problem is that he needs to enter the code for the city of Toronto used by Weather.com, which is CAXX0504. Americans can type in their ZIP code, but that doesn't work for International users.
I don't know why it was deleted. Personnally I see nothing wrong with that I find it actually cute.  Somebody did it recently but for other reasons (promote his web design services) and of course in that particular case it was not allowed. But in this case I don't know why or who deleted it.
Cavebar, your work is excellent. I really like your Lila theme, except you need to keep it up and be patient. You've only been contributing stuff for a month and a half or so.  Keep up, upload more quality work and in a few months maybe you'll get a promo. Could take 6 months, could take a year, it all depends on the quality and the frequency of your contributions. Promotions are not given automatically, they are given as a token of our appreciation to a great contribution
She didn't ask how to test it on Windows 98, she didn't ask for volunteers to test it either. She asked how many people still uses Windows 98 / ME.  She just wants to know if it's worth thr trouble or not. Personnally, Donna, I wouldn't bother. But it depends what's your goal when making a skin. If you're doing it for the users and want to have it work for almost everybody, then yes it's worth it.  I make skins primarely for myself, then since it's done anyway, I upload it for
For the weather object, enter CAXX0504 (for Toronto) as the zip code.
OK, since you weren't very clear with your question, it leaves us trying to guess in order to help you. So if you are wanting to change the trash icon in Object Dock,  refer to replies #3 and #5. If you want to change your trash icons on your desktop using just Windows XP built-in features, follow #4 instructions. BTW regarding reply #4, make sure to select the ICO files, and the PNG's won't work in XP.  Object Dock on the other hand supports both.
Ah, Object Dock icons. Right-click on your recycle bin, select "Dock Entry Properties", the change both your images for Full and Empty. BTW: I have Object Dock Plus, I don't remember the exact setting on Object Dock regular, but it's somewhat the same.
Soory, but I. ve got no idea what you are talking about. What set of trashcan? Who or what is Menta? I checked our user directory and I see nobody by that nickname.
Some programs for some reason continue to show the program in the Add/Remove Programs list, even when the program hass been uninstalled. There is an amazing utility called X-Setup that gives you access to hundreds of hidden Windows tweaks. If you're into Windows customization, I do recommend downloading it. It's quite easy to use and has pretty good desriptions of what the settings are. The X-Setup page seems to be down at the moment (it was working earlier today though, so it mu
