Exactly what high res Boot Screen software have you tried, Kona?

You got mail, Exodus.
Do you have third-party toolbars in your Explorer toolbar? Like Yahoo, Alxa, Common Names, etc. ?  Some of these can cause real problems.
You're welcome. You're welcome.
You got mail dear Watson.
Well, that would be a good idea if you don't use your computer but just wants to state at the wallpaper all day. No kidding, that would drain so much RAM and CPU that you wouldn't be able to use your computer.
I agree with kyhlwch. Under 20$, most likely if I want it, I'll get it without thinking much about it. Over that amount, it will have to be a planned purchased, budgeted and justified.  I won't get online, see a new 30$ piece of software and say "Oh, I want it!" and buy it on the spot.  No, most likely, I'll take a few days to think about it. Is it something I will use often, or something I'll use a few times and get tired of it? If I decide that I need it, then I'll check the bank ac
Oh, and can't wait to see Web Explorer!! (but maybe you should consider a name change, it sounds a little too close to "Internet Explorer"...)
I use WinFX for shadows permanently, and as that's the only WinFX feature I use, I don't see any performance difference. The animations and otherr effects, yes, slow me down and that's why I don't use it. But just for the shadows, I find it seemless, I don't notie any performance difference at all. As for Windowblinds alpha borders, I say go for it, but make it theme defined. Skinners can always include a substyle without the alpha borders for the users concerned about performance.
Jafo isn't a pilot, he a Jafo (Just a f... observer), a GP official.
Frogboy, he's just saying that on Stardock Central, Natural Desktop is labeled as "shareware", where by definition a shareware has at least a trial version. Maybe just need to fix how it's labeled on SDC.
OK, I just checked, and you are right about Natural Desktop. It's probably an error, or it fell in a product category difficult to define. They both have a Download button, except that Natural Desktop brings you to the purchase web page, while for Blog Navigator, the download button brings you to CNet's download page.
Huh? What are you talking about? First, there is a trial version of Blog Navigator, and it's free. Only the Pro version is not free. Second, Natural Desktop is not really a software, but a Desktop X theme delivered as an executable. How can you have a trial version of a skin or theme?  Natural Desktop has never claimed to be software, let alone shareware.
No, there are many styles of animes. Some are children with children bodies (see post #101), or adult face with adult body (https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=13&SkinID=5957).  But if you are exposed enough to the kind of half-naked full-feature body with a child face, you may start finding children face sexually appealing, yes. It may take years of conditioning, but I believe it very well may happen, that is if you find the body below the face sexually attracti
Well, here is my personal opinion on the topic. I am not in the least concerned about small kids viewing those kind of images, or even full nudity. What I am worried about are the men and the women. Let me explain: Men: See it or not, admit it or not, those kinds of cartoons use the face of a child on a grown woman's full figure body.  After a while, through repeted viewing, we (men) become accustomed to such an unnatural combination and start to take it for granted.  Na
You're welcome.
For KDE there is KXDocker: http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=10958 or for Gnome there is one on the gDesklet website (great desklets there for Linux BTW): http://gdesklets.gnomedesktop.org/categories.php?func=gd_show_app&gd_app_id=13 [Message Edited]
Hum, that button on the left in the taskbar looks to me like it could be a Start button. Litestep does Start menus?
I wouuld say DesktopX or Litestep for the desktop and the text shortcuts, and Objetbar for the taskbar.
There are cartoons and cartoons. While there is nothing wrong with animes or manga per say, there are some that borderlines chauvinism or even pronography/paedophilia. For example, there is nothing wrong with this wallpaper for example, although it is an anime too: I'm sure you can see the difference in this and
I use WinDVD all the time and I don't have that problem.
pyro, I don't know if I'm seeing what I'm supposed to see, but ...  It's quite basic and extremely plain.  Green buttons on a white background, and grey sub-level buttons. Dunno, I think you can do better than that.  I don't see any design here, just plain buttons thrown on a white page. Also, I think you're exagering the download time issues, your buttons are way too dithered (the grey ones). Typically, a page with 100k or so of graphics is acceptable.  Don't destr
Nope. Seems your server is down or somefin.
agenttan: for the always on top option, note that you can set it yourself in the WIndowblinds options. It will work with any skin: Open the Windowblinds Advanced Configuration window, click on User Overrides, then click on the Advanced Settings button. You can then configure yourself what double-clicking or right-clicking on the titlebar does, including Set Always on top or Roll Up/Down window.
There are two types of hyerarchy: the user class and the user level. The class is based on experience and contributions to the site: creating skins, helpig others on the message board, leaving comments, etc. The user level is based on financial contribution: buying a Stardock software, buying a Wincust subscription. About user classes. About user levels. <
