If you Right click on your desktop and choose Arrange Icons By and uncheck Show Desktop Icons, they will all go away including the Recycle Bin. However you might find that this enables Acive Desktop, which is probably worse than having the Recycle Bin.... Microsoft at it's finest...

Yes, Right click on Sysmetrix and choose 'About Systmetrix" Do you have version 1.9.2? If you do you should be able to click in the left white square to turn on and off the zoom feature.

You need to set DesktopX to load at startup. That should do it, it's in the configuration menu.
