I was never known to be part of an inner circle, so guess I'm still an outsider. Maybe they think we are too comical. Or maybe it's my questions, or maybe I'm too curious, or maybe, or maybe, ......or maybe it's our combination, or maybe they just don't dare, or maybe we scared them off after the first long one. I forsee this one growing by leaps and bounds with lots of unsolutions. <img src="http://images.stardock.c

Well, I've never been accused of thinking simple, so I was thinking more along the lines of elaborate. Only problem with that on the one I tried was it seemed to take up too much screen space and memory. Sure would make a neat effect though.
Alexandrie, I'll take one too. Nothing elaborate, of course, just maybe an animated ocean scene, gulls flying around, a nice sun, clouds and sky, and maybe a boat too. That should only take about a minute to do, huh?
Sorry, Feline. Hubby home after a biopsy and has been monopolizing the internet. No, the nature one is a water scene with waves splashing against the shore.
The updated version is even better.
Hey I have one of those . >
Think I better clarify - I'm an Object Desktop subscriber now, started out with the freeware.
......the saga continues. Actually I chose freeware, but haven't downloaded wallpapers now since Windowblinds came along and I started skinning.
Its Plus Mercury Pool and another one I like is Plus nature. I've done a desktop (not an uploaded one) where I have most of the desktop covered with the animation, but it makes clicking on top of the desktop almost impossible that way. Anyway, I thought those effects were rather neat, especially the nature one.
Just size your graphic piece to 1024 x 768 (or whatever resolution you use) in your grapic program and then save the file as a jpg. (You could use the print screen option on your keyboard, but that would show the icons too.)
Hum, Jafo, sounds like a lot of yak(ity) yak to me.
Thought about the 2d object (I've seen some of those animated). Wonder if you could get it to look like Microsoft's screensaver. I think I would have to learn how to do 3d objects first though. Interesting thought.
Hum, that should clear the matter up. Have you thought about consulting a consulate?
Thanks DavidK.
Love the subscription browser, has everything at your fingertips. My question is not per se regarding the brower itself, but when I did an author search on my own windowblind skins it brought up two blinds that I had previously deleted from (I thought) the Wincustomize library. I was curious, so tried the download on one of the deleted blinds and it started to download it. I thought once you deleted a skin it was gone forever (these were my first really awful ones).
In my personal dealings with Stardock, they have always responded. I know they will take care of you. Listen to the others regarding Windowblinds. We all love it and I'm sure you will too. T-man is a good respondent and I know he will do what is necessary to help you.
I was looking at some of the 3D screensavers Microsoft has with their Plus, and was wondering if anything like that could be incorporated into DesktopX since it supports animation. Would really be something if you could achieve the same effect without using a screensaver.
Jafo is grammatically correct.
Go Mike, there's plenty of doom and gloom in the world already without looking for more.
I don't recall that there was any mention of an Honorable receiving all prizes in the GUI, only a subscription, a T-shirt, or something else. Even recall reading on the GUI messageboard thread someone stating that they would rather have the renewal subscription. (Too bad the GUI site isn't still up as I think this would be verified.) I've found in my dealings with Stardock and Wincustomize, that they are really a good bunch and have been nothing but true to their word. In passing, I do feel
Shucks, guess I missed out on the wheelchair since I must have signed up too soon. After mowing the lawn and pulling weeds, I think I sure could have used it.
Guess I'm just under the over-the-hill category (however being a grandma can add a few years).
Do we have a definative date on the 98,ME version yet?
Afraid so as far as skinning, just uploaded another one (seems I was working on two at once this time - (kind of scarry - insted of chain smoking, I seem to be blind smoking). Is that addiction or what?
Can't help with the envelope problem, but wanted to say Hi.
