Thanks, paxx for your view. It is an eye opener. Yes, hadn't thought of it that way, seeing as how it was my understanding that you picked the site you wanted to represent, but can see how the preview thing would have been a good gesture too. Now, I am curious as to how many submitted previews (curious by nature).

I wish IE had more than it does. Don't like plain drop down menues and scrollbars that aren't skinned. Even though you can do toolbars and throbbers, it still seems to lack in some respects. The finished look of MSN explorer is a lot better, but you can't seem to change anything for it (at least not that I know of). Looks pretty cool, downloading it now. I wonder if it can be skinned. Do you know?

Seems to me the nice thing to do would have been to send a thank you seeing that they were receiving a benefit from the skinners effrot regardless of whether they received a preview or not. After all, it really wasn't a matter of pre-approval as it was the skinners choice of whom they represented. If they hadn't of been chosen, they wouldn't have reaped any benefit. Anyway, my opinion, and I was curious what the answer might reveal.

GUI question in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

I was curious as to whether anyone that placed in the GUI categories ever received a thank you from their represented site. I would like to know which ones did and which ones didn't. It would certainly give one a feel of the atomosphere of those sites and clearly distinquish which ones should be represented or not in the next go around.

Wow, DavidK thinks mowing the lawn is recreational. Since hubby has let me retire, I seem to have inherited all the chores (didn't know retirement came with strings attached). I always equated retirement with being able to do all the fun things (lying in the sun, etc.), but I think someone played a joke, not at all like the movies. Thanks MikeB. Can't tell now whether the rating was adjusted or not. It brings up the skin, of course, in Windowblinds and I don't remember how many ratings I had on the XP.

It seems to have straightened itself out as of yesterday. It doesn't show anymore downloads for the GUI now, etc. However, I do have a question as to the rating on Star-Boid Jade Tiger. Before XP and Windowblinds was combined I had a rating of 9 on the XP and a rating of 7 on the Windowblind. Do you combine the ratings?

Thanks c242. The reason I ask, however, is I have the latest build, but when I zoomed in on the pic on the site where XP Desktop appears (in the current build) on the column on the left, the zoomed in pictures shows Windows XP, which made me think that it might be different. If anyone has further knowledge, please let me know.

Is Skinstudio XP part of the Object Desktop package or do you need to purchase it seperate? I have Object Desktop and do not want to install the trial version if it is going to mess things up.

Well it seems the problem is solved. What seems to have happened is that when I installed the latest beta of WB it had unchecked some of my prior settings and the menu was one of them. I checked it, restarted the computer, and now all is well with my computing world again. Thanks guys for all the help (was checking everywhere but the obvious it seems). Guess I need more minds than mine nowadays.

Well, it does it on all of the skins. It is the strangest thing though, when I'm in Explorer it is skinned, but not on anything else I open. Only thing I can figure is that I need to tell either XP or Windowblinds something (but heaven knows what).

Icon problem in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

I have tried to change the Quick Launch icon for Outlook Express, but without success. If I try it in Icon Packager it says, "Failed to update shortcut file 'Launch Outlook Express.lnk.'" If I go to its properties and try to change it is says, "Unable to Change. Acess denied." The other icon that doesn't seem to want to change is the one for "My Documents". All the others do fine. What am I missing and how do I get the them to change? Thanks for the help.
