I find that it's more reliable to just copy the whole game over and use Detect Application. I just tried to use the archive function on a different title and couldn't restore for reasons I don't know.

It should make you laugh...especially if you're not using XP anymore. XP audio was notoriously finicky. Thats one reason I almost feel bad for Creative Labs...almost. They're still the only good maker of accelerated audio cards. I'm curious whether Demigod uses XAudio 2 or DirectSound, myself.

I never tried to connect online, but I couldn't even get through to a LAN game with the AVG Firewall enabled (and Demigod supposedly allowed through it.) It still wouldn't connect with the firewall disabled and set to Allow all, either. As soon as I uninstalled AVG, the game connected fine. (Yes, I have the Windows Firewall on now.) Update your video drivers...and probably all the others too. Those are seriously out of date. I assume that's an OEM system, and you probably shouldn't be using the video drivers from the OEMs support site...those are usually fairly out of date. http://www.nvidia.com has what you need.

Shader model 3 has been in all AMD 3xxx models. Possibly even the 2xxx, as I have no idea. I wasn't into AMD graphics stuff until recently.

I have had that happen with copies that aren't registered in Impulse (whether they're activated or not...) only can get the one where it was installed normally to host games. Don't know how relevant that is, but worth checking into.

The Puma does some respectable gaming, though I wouldn't use it for everything. It certainly stomps all over my old 6600GT/single core ath64 desktop in Demigod.

This is why most security applications aren't so intrusive. Intrusive apps get in the way of normal applications. I really doubt they'll spend the time on a workaround, though I could be wrong.

Yep. I couldn't find the manual in my last install either, and now on the fresh install I can. Makes me wonder if the update data got mangled somehow, or the update was pushed through while I was installing it the first time, or something like that.

Yeah I'm reinstalling also. Very odd, my Impulse changed 'last updated' from 4/9 to 4/14 but didn't actually download or want to download anything that I could tell.
