Citizen)Moosetek13September 11, 2006 01:03:23Reply #22I'm glad to hear it is not unique to Intel dual-core procs. I just sent a saveed game to Frogboy as well. Maybe he can get one of them to exhibit the problem on one of his dual-core machines. But the workaround is not to save and reload, the problem will show up again within a short time. The

Ah, I was trying D for delete.... delete key, I'll remember that.... it still might be nice if they place the option on the screen as tiny icon or word as they did with other things related to ships. Hey! But thank you very much! Now they need to fix the S key thing - I've been using the G (gaurd) key in the mean time for ships gathering or holding position.
I'm also seeing this problem. It is rare and happens after the game has been running for awhile. The little box in the mini map which indicates what part of the star map the player is viewing will begin to act as a paint brush and 'paint' the mini map a solid color as the player moves the view about on the main star map. The work-around is to save and reload the game. I have the 1.3A patch installed, P4 intel, PCIE, max memory (mother board and vedio card), 9C direct-X with a ATI radeon X700 ser
In the earlier version (2.3), the 'S' key for 'Sentry' was working... not anymore under this new patch. Also, it'd be nice if there was a 'D' short-cut key for decommission as well. On the Ships Details screen for fleets, it'd be nice if several ships that are selected could all be que'd for decommissioning or upgrade (of a common class; show total price). Currently each ship must be selected for decom - this takes awhile if there are lots of ships that are not worth upgrading
Ok, hopefully somebody will see this. First off, I finally got around to buying the game, and, boy, what a massive improvement! So "Well done" to the developers and play testers! I am loving this game more and more... might top Master Of Orion ...it already does in may ways, but MOO-II is still a faster-paced game (less time to play) and has better user-interface - not by much though - thanks to all the i
Ok, i have it running, what screen res should I be using? I don't see a way to load or save map files? I don't see a way to set map size to be created. An image of the grid would be nice in the next update? In star and planet drop-down menues: what are the limits for each field (what is expected allowable ranges and/or text entries)?
You're the one who brought this issue from your forum to this forum, violated confidences, and now troll here for agruements from me. I'm not interested. Take the hint. Like I said before, we discussed it already, in private, and reached a resolution: I asked you to remove me from your forum memebership list, that I would leave; I stated that we needed to agree to disgree; innate in that is to end the discussion and part company; or was that hint not clear enough for you? Your attitude
Mr. Spook, perhaps one day we can start-over on a better note... some things take time to mend.
Darklor: Thanks for your "flowers" and "help." But I was told once the best way to deal with forum trolls is to stop feeding them. Ya, it can be hard to ignor them when the site rules are not enforced by the site adminstrators. I've said what I've said in earlier replies to Mr. Spook, and hold to it. I still think this Mr. Spook fellow is a pretty nice guy, but apparently we have some major personality conflicts between us (relativley speaking) that prevent us from getting along. But a
Hi Dark Rain, just wanted to take a moment and say "Thank You" very much for your gfx tools. :) I have used them exclusively due to thier relative ease. They have made doing new ship graphics for my own installed copy of GC/AP possible; such as I have shared on-line from time to time; they aren't the best, but I'm learning :) I even figured out how to do some limited animation. Would love to see a 32 bit capibility as well (if you he time). Without your efforts, I doubt I would have e
Thanks! I'll get that event mod :) Ship pics? Sure always need new ideas :) You have my email.
BTW, some sites enforce thier rules. This site does not, apparently. I see that your slander and flame was deleted at anonther site as it should be here. BTW, I'm not Darklor. Ok, Mr Spook, or aka Desert Fox of the NEO-TECH forums.... again: Your credibility is being destroyed by your own lack of proper ethical judgement and proper behaviour in a public place; you are in willfull violation of site rules (go read them!!!) that you agreed to abide by when joining this site. You should be at least be banned for a few weeks from these forums. I need not say more. Your "truth" is slander and heresay, and has already been debated via private Emai
More heresay and slander? You are clueless as to what I want or not. Visit on my turf to find out if you dare; Oh, and I ALSO have lots of friends ;) And you won't be allowed to engage in slander or other similar ethics violations at these forums. The rules are enforced, unlike here (apparently). But you're welcome to use the PM feature, explore the site, and examine my profile at our web site. Oh, so you admit to having given private PM and Email exchanges to the public and/or friends

Hmm? Trying to start agruements with forum users with slander toward them in public? Who's got the problem here? Got a personal problem toward me? Then be polite enough to other users to keep it out of the forums. Use PMs and Email. If to PM me, them you can reach me at (use the PM feature there): http://forum.settlersgang.com/
Master Modder? How nice of it to even cross your mind, even as you get cynical. Don't like what I do? Change it or don't use it. All my work is public domain and may be freely changed and altered, and I encourge changes and adaptations in order that fan's tastes be accomodated (most times changes are easily done in Windows Note Pad or similar text editor). I doubt all will like my mods or graphics; erm, that's a given due to people having different preferences; especially since any mods that I
Tested in the game... I don't see a difference. A tiny image in a 64x64 bit frame scarely has enough room to display all enough bits for it to matter, it seems. But, ya, I have seem some large gfx that look better if done as 32 bit and the baseline work uses lots of colors to take advatage of the 32 bit possiblities. All the game GC ships gfx are 16 bit, if I'm not mistaken? Yet, no complaints? And TurgotZ's work is great! I hope he can find the time to finish the rest of the ships. I

I don't even know this Spook person, unless he or she is somebody hiding under a new nick I had a falling-out with. If so, we had a private discussion of disagreement via PM and Email (whatever "attacks" happenned are matter of perspective). I left this person and went my own way, yet this nick follows me like a puppy. I guess he or she feels engaging in slander as a forum troll is ethical? This likely violates forum ethics rules, assuming those mean anything to this nick. If this nick is who

Hmm.... I found a ship type accessable after all. Perhaps done as 16 bit with Dark Rain's utility? It was call "death" done for race 6 and 7. All the other ships for race 6 and 7 haven't been done yet. There are a lot of ships types not prefixed with a race identifier (races 0 through 7 and race 35). I'm not sure what going on there, or if they are even functional like that. They are not accessable either (with Dark Rain's tools).
[quote]I never had a need to investigate Multi Tool utility, since Dark Rain's tool seemed sufficient. I read re-read the thread about Multi.... seems there wasn't much utilites available back then? Even rotation was a problem of a sort (in
